Moment in the cut. I’m about to be up 🖖🏽
Finally, a picture of me. Or, rather my arm. The trip comes to an end, but we know the life here doesn’t. I’ve been taking iPhone snaps for a while, but only started taking photography more seriously in October 2016. I’ve never been much for selfies. Instead, I’ve been interested in collecting an archive of spatial moments throughout cities and regions. So the work is part documentary, but also abstract when documenting smaller architectural moments of buildings. I’m not so much a frame chaser as a frame finder: I let the space drive me to a shot. The process feels like a dance, and I feel I’m flowing through life’s diverse energies. This was a trip to remember, and I have a lot more moments to share from it. But, it’ll be cut up in pieces from here on out. We all wish to travel more, but the computer screen calls. Going, going, back to back, to Cali, Cali.
