My 2018 pumpkin haul. What have been your favourites this year? 🎃🎃 I realised that I haven't yet shown you how my harvests have been for pumpkins this year. For those of you who know me, you'll be aware of my squash obsession. I can't get enough of them, and whilst I only managed to grow two varieties this year - 'Crown Prince' and 'Musquee du Provence' - next year I'll up it to four 😀

Baby Tears. I just got this plant. I love how lush & flowy it is hehe 😇
Always picking the tops off the basil 🌿. I swear they grow a minute after I pick them off . I need to get into making a big batch of pesto . My boys love it as a dip, on their pasta and on their pizza . I usually try and make enough for a year and pop them into the freezer . #basil #pasta #pizza #pesto #basil
is one of my favorites 😍 These are Lily of The Incas - or the Peruvian Lily! They are super popular and in season during December in South America. A long-lived perennial 🌷💐🌹
Super pumped on the results of this Amaranth this semester. Awesome root expansion and could have been transplanted to 10 gals a month ago. @smartpots
keeping it going.

Durante esta temporada lo más recomendable es tener en el huerto hortalizas que toleren las bajas temperaturas y poca humedad, como las cebollas. Son tan resistentes que incluso nuestras cebollas rojas están a punto de florecer y regalarnos sus semillas.
Just when you think you have harvested everything for the week, bam I missed a few peppers. #backyardgarden
Las esferas vivas son una exelente iniciativa para decorar tu árbol de navidad, pues están hechas de materiales biodegradables, y al pasar las fiestas decembrinas podrás trasplantar las suculentas para decorar y ambientar tu casa.
When you thought you won’t grow climbing spinach or #alugbati
this season as the seeds I sowed didn’t germinate at all! 😌Then I saw these seedlings popping up from compost bed! #winner #excited
Summer Gardening Tip No. 12
HOW MUCH WATER IS ENOUGH?
In Sydney gardens, we don’t have enough water to survive long, dry spells, so we water by priority. Thirsty citrus and banana top the list as, without enough water, they won’t fruit. But how else can you tell if a plant is parched? Moisture-loving plants, such as pumpkin or impatiens, may wilt at noon, simply because they can’t absorb soil moisture as fast as it evaporates. Gingers are better indicators of dry soil, because they roll their leaves when stressed. Always inspect your soil to see if more water is really necessary.
