💪🏻 GYM SANCTUARY 💪🏻 For years food was my outlet. It was my emotional crutch for when I was feeling bad or depressed. What I had when I was just bored and there was nothing else to do. Food was my best friend, and at times it felt like my only friend. I ate and I ate, and it was an abusive relationship. I never felt good about myself afterwards, but I kept going back because in the moment it gave me emotional pleasure.
On my journey I’ve found a new best friend, and left food behind for something better. The gym. The gym is where I can relieve stress. Do amazing things with my body that I never thought possible. Every time I am finished I ALWAYS feel great about what I accomplished. Is there even such thing as a “bad” workout? I don’t believe so. Maybe you don’t hit your goals on a certain day, but deep down you know you’ll get there. I don’t feel anything after a gym sess except accomplishment. I feel pride in myself for what I can now do.
I replaced one emotional crutch with another. This emotional crutch I have now is far sturdier and longer lasting. When I’m in the gym each just me and my music grinding it out. It wasn’t always like that this, but the more I went the more it became just that. Me and my gym relationship are goals. We will be together for the rest of my life, and isn’t that something we all want. A forever kind of love and relationship. I found mine. I ❤️ you gym.
Summer Shredding 17lbs Transformation. March 3rd 2017, 177.0 vs. June 3rd 2017, 159.4. You have seen me go from Teenripped➡️MotivationalMatt and my physique has changed back and forth throughout those times. This is proof that not everyone can have ripped abs all the time or a flat stomach. We all are different. Life hits us at many different angles and it affects us in many ways. Yeah I don't have veins crawling up my body rn but I now have the best physique I have had in my 20 years of living and I'm not done yet. A year changes someone. For me I gained confidence and lost weight. I have never felt so comfortable in my own skin! So do something today that you would thank yourself for in a year. Who is ready for some change?

is side Tri cable pulldown. We love this exercise because of the contraction we ca get at the bottom. Remember that some exercises are movers and some are shapers. We like to use this to "shape" our triceps into the classic horseshoe!! Simply stand sideways with an underhand grip and start with your hand at chest height. Pull down ending with your wrist just past your outside leg. Hold the squeeze for at least a 1 sec count. Return slowly to the starting position.
