I've been so spoiled here in Colorado. Mom is the best host and with so many beautiful organic grocery stores, yoga & pilates at my finger tips, fantastic views and weather, I feel so taken care of and peaceful.
I did have to vamp up the coconut water, avocado, and cherries to keep my skin and body hydrated. Mom has cherry trees so that was easy.
I've been applying coconut oil in my nostrils bc at over 6200ft above sea level here at mom's house, I've definitely felt the dryness.
There really is no place like home. The children have unanimously decided that grandma's house will from now on be the summer vacation destination. #ayurveda

We found the most beautiful secret beach after a half hour walk through what felt like a tropical island, and the water was pure magic, but we're still in England, isn't it mad? And cobblestone beaches are epic coz no finding sand in my cracks three days later ✌

Uno de los regalos mas lindos del Ashtanga es la disponibilidad corporal que brinda a mi vida y hasta para la actividad extra que realice. Siempre les recomiendo a mis amigos que hacen otras actividades deportivas que practiquen Ashtanga que va a ser super beneficioso para su disponibilidad corporal en el deporte, ni hablar para la vida en general.
Noto con el paso del tiempo que desde que practico, cambio mucho mi manera de moverme; la práctica diaria te enseña a cuidar y a utilizar tu cuerpo sin gastar casi energía. Porque simplemente me enseña a moverte, a no esforzarme y a no utilizar de manera inadecuada mi cuerpo, porque al instante me lo avisa de alguna forma y lo acomodo con sutileza. Energeticamente siento que la práctica me regala una enorme pasión por la vida, mucha vitalidad y energía para hacer todo lo que me propongo en el día y sin cansarme y sin ni estresarme. Mentalmente me regala la claridad y mi propia sabiduría; me siento mas serena y tranquila para pensar, no ignoro los torbellinos de la mente claro, pero soy consciente de que son solo eso torbellinos de la mente.

At a first glance this one legged downwards dog balanced on one arm to some might seem quite straightforward, and that is what I thought when I saw someone do it almost a year ago on Instagram. After attempting it I realised I not only didn't have the flexibility in my legs, but also didn't have the strength in my core to balance myself. I couldn't even grab my foot without falling over. Fast forward to a year later, after working hard on my foundations and doing simple and basic poses over and over and over again, developing much better core and finally getting a little bit of upper body strength and I am only just about managing this pose, I was still quite wobbly getting into it and found it very challenging to be honest, but there's definite progress. I love being inspired but yogis in this Instagram community, but don't be fooled by a photograph, just because something looks easy in a photograph, it doesn't mean it didn't require significant practice and preparations.
