On #intermittentfasting IF has been a habit since two years ago and I would definitely preach on its simplicity and effectiveness. Best of all, it will only cost you a little self discipline, nothing more. Currently doing the 16 hour fast and 8 hour feed. After starting IF I don't need to be extremely strict abt anything I put in my mouth to maintain relatively low body fat (no more card board tasting steam chicken breast n sweet potatoes only.. yea!). Although you still need to watch out on the macros and don't go overboard on a regular basis, i.e pig out on sodas, junk food and cakes daily. All in all, it has allowed me to maintain good social life, safe time & money, occasionally enjoy big and sinful meals and at the same time maintaining good physique. Oh not to mention on the positive impacts of IF to the body's physiological and psychological hormonal system. Try it for a couple of weeks and enjoy the results.
DAY 6- cleanse Had to work today so I forgot to take pics of everything. 🤷🏻‍♀️ *Breakfast- I don’t eat breakfast because I do intermittent fasting. ( I only eat between 12pm-8pm.) But if you are doing the 24 day jumpstart you CAN eat breakfast. . *probiotic capsule . *fiber packet (before my first meal) *water . *Spark drink *ran one mile before work . . . *Lunch-tuna packet, broccoli, blackberries, 1 egg, 1 egg white . *water/spark . *Snacks - almonds, one clementine *water . . *Dinner- chicken with peppers and a little bit of yellow rice. One piece of wheat bread with peanut butter. . *Omega Plex . *Herbal Cleanse . Things worth mentioning——— This is a cleanse not a diet. This is helping me to reset my eating. Christmas got me all messed up. 🤪 The cleanse only lasts days 1-10. Then the Max phase days 11-24. . Things I missed today- nothing really and I felt really good today. . So, I’m trying #intermittentfasting 🤦🏾‍♀️ For the first new moon of the year, I detoxed for 36 hours pretty easily. I figured why not try something new. Had #coffee at 10 a.m. and I discovered that 5 p.m. is my threshold before I get kinda nauseous. I broke my fast with a #greensmoothie and ate dinner at about 7 p.m. I intended to eat EVERYTHING on that plate (that’s mashed cauliflower under the peas, btw). I have been eating a full (healthy) amount of calories and lifting weights more than I do cardio...so the quick drop in the scale that happened during my Golds Gym challenge? yeah not happening🤦🏻‍♀️ Watching the scale again has done nothing but cause confusion and frustrations-even though I KNOW I am doing things the right way. It’s addictive and only 4g net carbs for this entire plate😱I always complain to my hubby that they do not put enough filling in the sushi and now I can eat all the filling I want😝Check out this awesome recipe below and you must try this fellow keto lovers🤩👇🏻👇🏻 ***** Ingredients: 1 sheet dry nori 1 can pre drained tuna flakes 1 tbsp kewpie japanese mayo 1 tsp mustard 1/2 sliced avocado 8 long slices japanese cucumber 2 bird’s eye chillies (optional) Method: - In a bowl combine the tuna flakes, chopped bird’s eye chillies, mayo and mustard. - Line the sushi mat with a zip lock bag, place the nori and flatten the tuna mixture on the nori. Make sure to leave an inch gap at the end to make sure you can seal the roll securely. - Arrange the avocado and cucumber slices and roll the sushi tightly. #carnivorediet Day 4 complete. So back to work and I totally forgot to take pics of my food today. 🤦🏾‍♀️ I Had coffee and 3 hardboiled eggs this morning, lunch was steak and ground beef with sour cream and when I came home from work I snacked on some cheese and now I am ending the night with a fat tea. I used the butterscotch blondie flavored tazo tea with heavy cream and a pat of butter mixed in. Today I believe I felt some of the effects of the ‘carnivore flu’ the symptoms are posted on next pic when you scroll. Today I was dizzy and fatigued. I also was having trouble focusing on work. I’ll keep you guys updated on these symptoms. TMI alert 🚨 I have also been constipated and haven’t “taken the colon trash out” since the beginning of my carnivore journey. Today ended that though 😅. That’s right, Subway, helping you eat fresh and get shredded for god knows how long. . When I was a young lad going to basketball tournaments all over the country, there was always a Subway around the corner. However, in those days, I had no idea what a calorie was. . And there weren’t awesome apps like @myfitnesspal that helped you track your calories. If you wanted to track calories…you’d have to lug this huge book around that had calorie contents for all kinds of food. However, they didn’t list restaurant chains. . We’ve never had it better people. . Anyways, let’s get into my guidelines for @subway meals for macronators. . 1. Most of the breads are around 200-230 calories. I would stick with sourdough, wheat, or honey oat. You can also cut have the calories by only eating one side of the bread but that’s kinda weird…but it works. . 2. All the meat options that I listed above have the best calorie profiles. I look for higher protein and low fat. If it’s not listed above, it probably has a shit ton of fat which will make the calories spike up. For example, the tuna has 22 grams of fat! . 3. Most of the cheeses are similar in profile to the numbers listed above. If you can spare the calories…go for it. I also put bacon and avocado up there because some people like to live on the edge (and waste their calories on silly things - jk). . 4. The goddamn cookie. The standard cookie will run you north of 200 calories. Eh. Not worth it. But again…your call. . 5. Get saucy. I ALWAYS go with honey mustard because it has zero fat and lower calories. Buffalo and bbq are similar. Do NOT add oil to your sandwich. You’re just dousing it in anywhere from 150 to 500 calories. That’ll kill your calorie deficit along with any chance for fat loss real quick.” .

If you haven’t noticed, I changed my profile information. I also have decided to get rid of my “ambassador” responsibilities. . . . I am realizing that the fitspo world, at least in the traditional meaning, just isn’t for me. Maybe I am being impatient with the process, but I also have been looking through my videos and nothing about them stands out. And if I am being honest, there are millions of fitspos posting the SAME workouts, in the SAME gym shark fits, over and over. Sometimes it does seem like the fitspo world is a clout grabber, even for the fitspos who claim they aren’t doing it for the clout. Is it possible that I am just in a negative head space rn? Sure. Do I want clout? Hey, transparency is real so yes, I scroll through my feed and just see the same types of videos and I’m thinking, well I’m doing the same thing these women are, so where’s my fame? I’m not ashamed to admit it. BUT I know that I do have a message and I think I am unique. I think it’s amazing that I am a black woman pursuing a doctorate in kinesiology. How many black women are out there doing that? So, I want to use my knowledge efficiently and not just post to post. Even if my page still doesn’t grow after I change it, at least when the few people who come across my videos/posts, they’ll learn something new and I’ll feel much better about my impact. I’ve thought long and hard today and I’ve realized that the impact I am going to make in this world is through my nerdness! I think I’ve been trying to fight that identity so long because I always felt like people had a preconceived notion about me doing well in school. I thought people thought I had a stick up my rear end, so I try to put myself out there so they can see I’m not a boring person. But today that ends. I know who I am.
