I AM STRONG because I know my weaknesses-
I AM BEAUTIFUL because I am aware of my flaws-
I AM FEARLESS because I know God-
I AM WISE because I have learned from my mistakes-
I AM A LOVER because I have felt hate-

Do you know who you are?
September is Interstitial cystitis awareness month and this year I wanted to share some information about this chronic condition that I have personally suffered with since I was 18 years old. The pain from IC can be excruciating some days you can't even leave the house, the only way I can describe the pain to people is having a constant UTI that never goes away because so many people don't understand condition it's very hard to describe. When I first started getting bladder pain I went and saw multiple doctors who told me it was just a UTI and take some medications with cranberry juice.... over the span of 5 years and 7 different doctors telling me it's just a UTI I had enough, this condition was affecting my work and my relationships. I was living off a ridiculous amount of pain killers to cope, my mum finally found me a doctor who would actually listen to me and finally after years of asking other doctors for a referral she sent me to a specialist. My first specialist visit she figured it out! 🙏 It is interstitial cystitis and there is no cure...😭 it is all trial and error avoid different foods and drinks, trial different medications, avoid stress etc etc. None of these really helped until the last resort of having a hydrodistension/cystoscopy procedure done the specialist had seen some great results from the procedure, at this point I was willing to remove my bladder completely so we did the procedure. I have to admit after the procedure the first week of pain I regretted what I had done it made the pain worse but by the second week I felt the best I had felt in 6 years I still get bad flare ups now and a wheat bag is my bestfriend but now my pain comes in waves and it is far easier to manage I avoid certain foods and try to stay calm when a flare up does happen. However I'm one of the lucky ones my pain is now manageable some people with this condition are in severe pain every day can't work, can't have intimate relationships and feel very trapped everyone suffering from IC have different severities and symptoms. So my final message is if someone you know has IC and there having a bad pain day please be more understanding. X
This supplement has been a game changer for me. I do not sell Usana products so I make no 💰 by telling y’all how life changing it’s been. When you have IC, going number 2 can be a challenge and constipation makes IC symptoms so much worse. Since taking this things are moving along smoothly (if you know what I mean) and I’ve had no flares. I had no idea how much my colon health affected my bladder health. Thank you @evedhunt
for this amazing product. My life is changed and I’m SO grateful!!! #interstitialcystitis #icdiet #icwarriors #icwarriormama #glutenfree #dairyfree #usana
Sometimes I feel like a cup that is spilling over. I have so much to offer this world - joy, innovation, passion, kindness - and yet, I have moments where I let myself drift into a mindset that I am only as capable as the container that holds me. But I am more than my body, I am more than my illness, and I am more than a diagnosis. •
I want more, because I am more.
I want more opportunities.
I want more research.
I want more fun.
I want more zest.
I want more of everything I have heard doctors, and myself, deny for my future. •
The only thing I can do is try.
For that reason, I pledge today for more out of my life. •

Treat the wo/man not the scan #normal
I saw this today from the British journal of sports medicine. As someone who works as an MRI tech and is a yoga teacher with her own chronic pain, I have to say that I LOVE seeing this.
When you can move away from "my body has a real problem and I'm afraid of it" to " I have chronic pain and I need to treat my body with love and compassion" it can make all the difference in the world.
Next time your doctor is sending you for imaging ask them the folowing: will getting these tests actually change my treatment plan? How will this help me understand my problem better?
This is how I see imaging perpetuating the pain cycle: your body hurts, and you are scared of what's going on. You are in a stressed state.
So you get your imaging and you learn that "there is something structurally wrong" you begin to fear your body more, guarding and stress increases. Pain cycle is perpetuating
Now I'm not saying DON'T get the test, I'm advocating for health professionals to explain what the results ACTUALLY mean and how it impacts treatment plans.

Y he avanzado, me ha costado muchísimo, he ido sacando la carrera a puros tropezones.
Necesitamos flexibilidad.

Number One Antioxidant
Antioxidants are compounds that are not only produced in your body but are also found in a number of foods. Their job is to help defend your cells from damage caused by free radicals (potentially harmful molecules), which can accumulate in the body and cause oxidative stress. Poor nutrition, toxicity, and environmental factors can lower antioxidant levels, which allows oxidation to wreck havoc in the body.
The ill effects include tissue damage, damaged or mutated cells, a weakened immune system, accelerated aging, and damage to your DNA. The damage caused by oxidative stress plays a major role in disease formation.
The best way to counter oxidative stress it to increase antioxidants in the body which serve to inhibit oxidation. When it comes to longevity and overall health, antioxidants play a major role. They can easily be added to your diet which will serve to decrease inflammation and assist in restoring balance.
I recently learned that the number one antioxidant food is crushed cloves. I will admit, I have never been a huge fan of cloves. I remember growing up and my grandmother using them in a number of recipes. She would also use them to freshen her breath in lieu of breath mints or gum. Despite my disdain for them, if I know something is good for me I will eat it.
Do you need a little more convincing? The ORAC scores from Superfoody may convince you to begin adding ground clover to your breakfast smoothie.
Goji berries: 4,310 ORAC score
Ground Clover: 314,446 ORAC score
Adding antioxidants to your diet will increase your protection against disease and help reduce chronic inflammation 💚
It seems like everyone secretly uses medical marijuana, marijuana, or just CBD products.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
There is A LOT of misconceptions about marijuana and it's abilities or "lack of".⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
For the next few days, I'll be posting all different facts on how our body uses CBD and processes it. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
It's a natural growing plant with the most beneficial properties that have shown to shrink tumors, eradicate cancer, heal and repair inflammatory diseases. All of this occurs with no detrimental side effects because it's not man-made (for now). Interestingly, our body has a system called the Endocannabinoid system which is made with receptors that CBD and THC actually bind to.
Cannabinoids work like a lock and key. They only bind to the receptors that match it.
This is a very effective treatment for chronic pain, inflammation, and nerve damage and pain.
A lot of people use it for Lupus, IBS, Interstitial Cystitis, Chrons, Anxiety, IBS, IBD, PTSD, Seizures, Fibromyalgia, and so many symptoms of Lupus.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Let's start the conversation and learn more from each other!
Please ask any questions you may have!⠀⠀⠀

One of the best things I ever did for myself was cut out animal products from my diet. I went vegan for two years while I lived in Oregon. It was the healthiest I had ever been. When I moved back to the east coast I started eating meat again (Maryland crabs duh!) and my health declined rapidly. Once I realized how badly animal products affected my body, mind and soul, and cut them out again I started to have less pain, less brain fog, less flares, etc. now don’t get me wrong, there are some days I screw up. There are some days I load up the sour cream or eat chicken tenders and I PAY FOR IT later. I am far from perfect I make mistakes, I let my cravings take control and I spiral! But nothing tastes as good as being able to FEEEEEL BETTER. Reminiscing about this moo moo I got to spend some time with this past weekend. Not only is eating animal products bad for you (do your research and experiment spoonies!) but factory farming is one of the leading causes of global climate change not to mention its inhumane and abusive to these amazing creatures. I’m not saying you HAVE to go vegan. I’m not saying you’re a bad person for eating meat. I know everyone is different and we’re all on different paths. I just know that this has worked for me and that’s why I share because I want everyone to heal! You deserve to get better! You deserve a happy pain free life! Let me help you get there! Message me, drop me a comment, whatever you want or need I’m here for you. Also, don’t forget to check the link in my bio!

Awkward topic day...Sex, Relationships, and IC...feel like few people ever talk about it and, if they do, its the same few suggestions. Have you experienced issues with sex and ic? How does it affect your relationship and how do you handle it? Any recommendations of things to help or things to try? DM me if you aren’t comfortable posting below! I’m having a rough go of it lately. Honestly, the pain is awful enough and all the debilitating things that come with it (hard to concentrate, lack of sleeping, feel afraid to leave the house or be away from a doctor, you know the drill) - but then you run into painful sex and flares and its nothing short of traumatic. At that point it feels like IC has taken over everything and I have no aspect of my former life that is the same at all. And it sucks to feel like you can’t participate in or are failing at part of your relationship. And that’s where I’m at lately...I’m just not sure what to do. I would be so grateful if you could share your story and any words of wisdom or advice you’ve found to help! Do you talk to someone about it, how do you cope? ...
Thanks to @the_raw_reality_of_ic_
