"Cool so my interview is at 9am, okay so I'll get there for 8:30am, that way I won't be stressing and it also shows I'm punctual" 😃 ....wrong! ❌ I get it! Its obvious that punctuality is important and that's what employers are looking for but please please pretty please don't arrive more than 10 minutes before your interview time... Let me explain.. 😊 You will already be nervous and sitting in an open plan reception area means you are on display and open to the many judging eyes 👀 Not only is the receptionist judging you but even the nosey people passing by will be "sussing you out".. this will only make you more nervous. Secondly, reception will notify HR and the Hiring Manager that you are here. They most likely won't be ready and will now be feeling under pressure to start the interview early and not leave you hanging. Lastly, you may be so early that you see other interviewees leaving their interview and that also doesn't help with the nerves and keeping a clear headspace. My advice, get there early and sit in the car, chill out, have a scroll on Instagram or listen to a podcast. Then when the clock ticks over take a nice deep breath and walk on in with confidence! You got this 👊 . . . . . . #interview #interviewprep #yougotthis #dontbenervous #deepbreathin #keepcool #stayclam #chillout #interviewtips #interviewpractise #interviewcoach #careercoach #careertips #careeradvice #heregoesnothing #positivechange #newfuture #brightfuture #changeisgood #newme #2019 #abundance #prosperity
