Happy Friday! Today is my day off. My guidance today is throw the schedule to the wind and fill up my cup first. This week has been a flurry of activity from holding the healing space for others and myself to important communication, projects, integration of energy and other excitement. Chances are by Friday you too are ready for a reprieve. I know you are a loving soul who wishes to give give give. Today give to yourself. Whatever you need providing it is healthy and for your highest good. What do you wish to fill your cup with? Love, laughter, adventure, rest abundance, expansion? Or simply water? in learning and cultivating a mental, spiritual and physical practice I’ve had some major REVOLUTIONS of what that looks like. spoiler alert: it looks different for everyone.
a physical practice doesn’t have to look like all the perfect yoga sequence poses. or spending hours a week in the gym.
it can be as simple as me literally rolling around on the studio floor exploring movement I can CREATE. learning and moving intuitively seeing where my body wants to take me. checking in with my digestion seeing how my internal physical being is handling life. or going for a short walk in the brisk winters air. play with it.
a mental practice doesn’t have to be done in a school/institute or even with a teacher. it doesn’t even have to be a traditional meditation or mindfulness practice. you are your best teacher. so is the path you’re on. enjoy it.
a spiritual practice doesn’t have to be a prayer, ritual or chanting. it could be that small or big epiphany you had a month ago. maybe it’s that enlightening and energizing conversation you had with a friend. experience it.
most of all it can be whatever i (you) choose it to be.
there are no rules, only experiments, decide which ones work for you.
simply re-framing or re-naming LIFE practices brings awareness to them.
helping you see that this “practice” is all around you and within you.
your practice is in your being first and foremost.
you are the only tool you need.

INTUITIVE FLOW // 2018 has been a lot about Ashtanga for me. And the year before was all about Iyengar.
But my roots are Vinyasa flow and I realized I really missed the fluidity of it but, most of all, the freedom of intuitive flows where there are no « do’s » and « don’t », only the physical expression of your inner self.
So even if I still practice Ashtanga, a lot, I want to bring back intuitive flows in my day to day life in 2019. .

The way is clear and my intuition since New Years Eve has been bringing me information and guidance effortlessly. Just like my 2019 intention!! 😄👏✨. I did find that this morning I was not receiving clear guidance and I felt like I was stuck in my head. Paralysis by analysis. Then I went for a run and practiced Yoga. I gave myself a delicious lunch and Matcha beverage. Then my intuition and the information began to flow effortlessly again 💜. The message is: "if you feel stuck in your head take good care of your body. Then once you have taken care of your physical needs the rest will flow." Simple right?! Remember we are still clearing old patterns and fears from 2018. Remember this when you face a fear or anxiety you have the opportunity to make an empowering choice that is connected with aligned action. Once you make that decision to move forward through the fear or anxiety. (Sometimes this requires mindful presence and pause first) you will find that pattern or fear leaving your life 👏👏👏. All because you made an empowering decision for your highest good.💗💗 Brightest blessings to you all. 🌞

As long as I can remember, for those who've known me for many years will already know, I LOVE to dance. I've performed on stage, taught classes and formed a crew (big up Notorious and BMG Street Team) but never really pursued it as a career. During times of grief and depression or even when I'm excited, I dance (albeit these days in my living room). In many ways it has been my outlet, my form of meditation and way back to my true self.
So last month (11/11) I decided to fulfil this urge to create and share by holding an impromptu class. Sometimes it's as easy as that. Just doing it.

Some days I wake up feeling out of whack. I know something is off balance but I can’t put my finger on it or I don’t have time to really sit and figure it out. So when in doubt - I just go to my body- take 10 minutes and let it move itself. I rarely do a balanced flow from left to right and it always ends up working out. There is so much emphasis on balance and symmetry, but what if you aren’t balanced in the first place? The more I practice the more I realize that my body is far wiser than my rational and logical mind. So, I just #gowithher
. Things don’t always need to be systematic and obviously ordered - all things in nature are seeking harmony and there is a pattern far greater then my limited sight- so I practice quieting reason and trusting in the underlying wisdom that governs the whole universe.
