I didn't plan this. But, then again it's really really hard to plan your life and have it go exactly to plan. I mean you can plan your dinner and your outfit. But, where you are going. What tomorrow will look like. How you will actually feel, you don't know. And you can't plan. Just be ready. Move forward, trusting. Sometimes carefully and sometimes fearlessly. one of the most rewarding things for me since i’ve been teaching, is not just having people come back to my classes,
but having them tell me that they’ve started practicing more at home.
i always toss out those little tid bits, encouraging to experiment with the practices and flows that i get to share with them at home.... their own time, their own pace.
it’s important to me to communicate that because there is so much life and living outside of the studio.
the home practice isn’t just about doing an hour long intense sequence (it can be!) it’s really about taking a little bit of time for yourself to just tune in with your body and being... just check in and give it what it needs.... it’ll communicate with you if you just offer up that little bit of time and space.
even just 15 minutes can be incredibly productive... and some of the simplest poses and postures can actually have the most profound effects on us.
this was about 15-20 minutes, after my day job i crave some movement in my spine, core work and really just some time to diffuse and decompress.
getting upside down for a little bit does wonderful things for our brains and systems.

Feeling the vibes for tonight’s lunar eclipse 🌚✌🏽
For the first time in a long time I just practiced yoga without a video or a book or notes of sequences to guide me. I just let my body’s intuition lead me (thanks @cc_the_yoga_bird_ ) IT FELT SO GOOD 😄 It felt like when I do a class with an awesome teacher and by the end I’m in a very unique state of consciousness - a cross between very high and very relaxed. The only way I can describe is BLISS. I even noticed identical dimples on each leg and simply accepted them instead of judging what my body looks like. My mantra for savasana alternated between inhaling the word “calm” and exhaling the word “stress”. I’m healing myself. It’s so beautiful when we can do this for ourselves. Thanks to @midmerryyoga for the music recommendation, there’s a good chance this contributed to my lovely practice 🎶♥️
Now I’m off to prepare for the mission to view the lunar eclipse. It’s been raining here so let’s hope the clouds share the view with us ☁️ ☁️ Namaste 🙏

Summer season is coming to a close but we haven’t seen the last of the heat. To help you cool down and reflect @brenna.brian is hosting a special yin immersion on Friday 9th of Jan (next week) from 530-730.
A deep yin practice combined with essential oils to cool, calm and collect. This is seriously magic - for those who haven’t experienced it before, Brenna uses a different essential oil for each pose to access deeper layers of tissue, energise and balance chakras and stimulate meridians. Bliss!

Our hope is for this connection to stay with you when you leave the us and be carried into your off-mat world.
