Is it the weekend yet?

Apologies for being so quiet lately. Every so often I go through a stage where I feel I have no words, nothing to share or rejoice in, just silence. It's not just via social media, sometimes I'll be talking to my husband and half way through I'll just stop because it all seems a little pointless.
I'm not really sure why this happens but I'm pretty sure that social media doesn't help at times. Every time I log on I see videos of animal abuse or I'm shown the pain we are causing our planet. I know that there is a place for shock tactics but as a highly sensitive and empathic person I can find this way too much. I feel the hurt in my bones without having to physically see it.
So when I feel like this I delve into detail, those who have followed my page for a while will already know this. The past few days I've been more submerged in the detail than ever before. Today I finished making these tiny clay acorns. A good few hours staring at something fragile in the palm of my hand.

Shadowboxed oyster shells and Venetian paster walls make the richest couple. Working on a new project with an equally moody color palette, and promise to share more from last week’s install soon!✨ 📷: @johneeebee
