We had such good food at @theviewtynemouth
on Monday, still dreaming of that pizza 🤤 really recommend it on a sunny day. 🌞
Feeling very happy as today is my Friday! We are off to @centreparcsuk
tomorrow for my auntie’s birthday... I haven’t been since I was 16 and used to go all the time so very excited to see what has changed. Can’t wait to ride bikes, swim, spa and eat a lot 🥰 aka my perfect weekend! Hope everyone is having a good short week... not long to go 😁👌
sigh. durham was lovely for the holiday, but now it’s back to the daily grind 🌼🌼🌼
Edale lino print test done. Struggled to get an even ink colour as you can see. Great working @hotbedpress
again though. Some more St Michael’s Mount prints done too.
Pateley Bridge in bloom 🏵🌸🌹
Edale lino cut ready for a test print tomorrow, hopefully!
Yesterday afternoon we went for a walk to Preston Park, with an impromptu swing by the marshland by the Tees near to Ingleby Barwick.
Everything looked gorgeous in the afternoon sunlight, and I particularly like the use of frames along the Teesdale way, as I feel that I’m rediscovering the area myself. It’s genuinely great to still be discovering new places in my hometown in my mid thirties. Couldn’t have asked for a better bank holiday weekend.

A collection of two images from the two visits I had to Newcastle over this extended long weekend.
On Saturday evening we went to the inimitable Tyneside Cinema to watch To The Front, produced by @ohnococo
and directed by Fran Broadhurst, which was included in a touring programme by London Short Film Festival. I loved learning about a musical safe space designed to uplift women, and was so proud to see my sister’s work on the big screen! Both the city itself and the cinema itself looked lovely in the fading light.
Today I caught up with my lovely friend Becca and her son; we had a great couple of hours exploring the Great North Museum: Hancock, which I hadn’t been to in years and really should visit again. I also had a walk through town photographing some of the brutalist structures and the classical architecture of my alma mater.

I mean honestly, why do we even want to protect the planet anyway? Look how shit it is. Happy #EarthDay
There’s nowhere like the U.K. on a sunny bank holiday 🌞
Sometimes my heart aches for our life abroad so badly, and I constantly wonder where to live next time, but I can honestly say this weekend there is nowhere I would rather be than the north east! It did make me smile seeing people in the sea, shirts off at the beach today when it really wasn’t that hot 🙈 but a little sunshine makes everything better and I’m going back to reality feeling nothing but gratitude for this fun-filled Easter weekend 🐰 🥚 🍫 🥂 🏖 🍔
Bank Holiday Monday up Cragg Vale. Tempting to swim it 👀
