] was so clever but also so true. The less you listen to the negative lies your brain comes up with about you, the quieter they become. With practice, 💬 you will begin to become very clear about which thoughts are helpful thoughts & which are more destructive. You will get to know yourself a lot better, and can begin to feel calmer, more powerful, confident.
I personally find I am more vulnerable to [self] critical thoughts if I am already tired, nervous, or struggling - for example, I find my brain 🧠 fixates on my physical flaws when I am anxious to meet someone new or be in a new situation. But now that I know that about myself, I am empowered. I don’t have to believe whatever critical thoughts come up: I can recognize them for what they are, where they come from, & know that they’re trash.
