So I re-downloaded the Fitness pal app today (Tuesday). Y’all it was so fricken hard, temptation is everywhere!
I went way over my calories for the day, and it wasn’t great. Long story short, we went for supper and I made bad but delicious choices.
Then I figured I might as well go down, in a huge ball of flames because why not.🤨 Awesome logic... I’m not being unrealistic, I don’t think. I’m starting off smallish, but I’m a work in progress.
So my weight loss goals for now are: • 2 Starbucks drinks a week.
(One mocha frap, and one açai lemonade) no extras! That’s Monday- Sunday.
• No pop Monday- Friday morning.
• More water
• Track my food/drinks in Fitness Pal and stay below my max calories/ or eat my max calories. No extras.
•Move more, more walking just more moving!
• Be in bed by 11pm, and asleep by 11:30 hopefully.
I’ve got a long way to go, but I’ll get there.

Belated Happy New Year 🥳! The #PodcastShow

Jyotsna Ramachandran is the founder of Happy Self Publishing School @happyselfpub
and never thought she’d be on a fitness podcast. She shares her fitness journey with us. Get ready to be inspired!
And...she did run her 1st 10K sooo I need to have her back on the show, right? 😉
Thanks to all of you for being so understanding while I’ve been taking more time to be with my family. It’s been pretty eye opening seeing how much time I was spending on social media each day. Don’t get me wrong - I’m so grateful that I get to share my journey with you but when relationships suffer because of it, it’s time to focus on what’s important in life. I’m currently in the process of tidying and reorganizing my entire house (anyone else LOVING and getting inspired by the @netflix
show Tidying Up?!) and I can’t wait for the end result. It’s going to take a lot of time and effort, but will be totally worth it. Love to you all! #eveningthoughts #healthylifestyle #healthylife #healthyliving #journeytohealth #tidyingup #tidyingupwithmariekondo #priorities #maketimeforwhatmatters #thankful
To move or not to move that’s all I can think about right now, it’s fogging my entire brain! And despite this I’m still eating well and getting my steps, water and exercise in! That’s a big deal for me! Usually when I’m stressed self care is the first thing to go and I’m into the McDonald’s and chocolate! So although I’m not in the best mood this is absolutely a NSV, every day my self control seems to improve!! If you work hard enough you can achieve absolutely anything 🙌🏻 what’s your biggest food weakness?
I had the most amazing weekend this past week. Swip right to see all the pictures. Friday was a work day without students and I was able to go out to lunch with a few friends. We had a good time just talking about anything and everything and being away from the school.
Friday night I got to go downtown and do a live workout with @shaunt.
ShaunT was the trainer of the first home workout program that I really committed to. It was this program that lead me to health and fitness coaching. The workout was awesome even though I accidentally hit Shaun as he was running around in the crowd. Sorry, Shaun, I didn't see you.
The highlight of the evening though was when he told me that he liked my outfit. Thanks for helping me pick it out, guys. He hugged me and I got to tell him that I had started with CIZE. As I went to walk away, he grabbed my hand and thanked me for allowing him to be a part of my journey. I wasn't able to tell him, "no, thank you, Shaun" because I was too overwhelmed. (I was also trying to get out of the way so that the line could keep moving.) I could barely keep back the tears. So thank you @shaunt
for creating a program that was fun and kept me wanting to keep going.
I decided to keep the awesomeness of Friday going. So on Saturday I took myself out to breakfast, went shopping, and went to a movie.
So much fun!
First ride on my indoor trainer is donezo!! It’s different obviously, but loved being on my bike 🚲 - Sammers
Confidence. When I hear the word confidence, I think of a tall slender person, wearing fashionable clothes, walking down a side walk in slow motion while everyone’s heads turn toward them.
Obviously that’s absurd, people are WAY too busy looking at their phones or freaking out on the inside because there are people around them #socialanxiety
For as long as I can remember, I have had a very low sense of confidence. I never felt like people saw me for me. I never really knew how to talk to people. I remember all through school, elementry- high school, I didn’t really fit in any particular place. Sure, I had a couple friends but I always felt out of place, so I masked my insecurities with bitchy-ness and anger. Not like wearing all black angry, but just acted like I was mad all the time. It was all a front. A mask to hide the sad, broken little girl that lived inside me, longing to find my place in this world.
Over the last few months, as I have really dived into my health and fitness journey and LISTENED to what all of the successful people I admire said, I’ve started to find genuine confidence. Through personal development, feeling better inside and out by taking care of myself, realizing that where I am is where I am supposed to be. That the universe will put me where I need to be.
I’m still awkward AF and that probably wont ever go away. But I know I am smart, I have something to offer people. Through my own learning and growing, I hope to help others realize they don’t have to hide in a shell like I did.
I’ve been having a tough time lately showing up for myself when it comes to working out. I’d rather steal my little brother’s onesie and sit on the couch and read all day than workout. •
I’m not sure what it is about the last two or more months but I just have no motivation to workout. Like physically it can be tough but it’s been pretty much entirely mental. Your brain can be your own worst enemy and the hardest to fight. However, I’m recommitting and gonna do my best not to let it get in the way of transforming into a better, healthier me! •
Are you struggling to find motivation to workout? Tired of your current program? Do you want to be a better, healthier you? Join me on my journey and we can help support each other’s growth!! DM me if you want more info💕✨

Happy day TWO,
Where I laid face down on my mat 4 minutes in to the workout so I didn’t throw up.
I got MINIMAL sleep and I had to seriously drag myself out of bed, contemplate if I REALLY needed to work out, and then pushed through and kicked today's ass!
I have not stopped since 4 this morning and I'm finally off my feet for more than a couple minutes. Ready to CRASH for the night.
Tomorrow is day three... And I am equal parts excited and terrified to see what's in store!
POP QUIZ: how many phases are there during your menstrual cycle?
and I went live on Facebook and Insta today talking about the phases of a menstrual cycle as one of the topics of TALK ONE of our three part series coming up in February.
For many of us, the only phase we know is the one where we bleed and we tend to gloss over the other phases and maybe not fully understand why or how they are important to our overall health (especially when it comes to fertility). There is so much more to your period, than the period itself and understanding those parts of your cycle is paramount to optimizing fertility.
Chronic pain/illness is exhausting. It’s eating food that makes you sick ten minutes later. It’s stomach cramps, fatigue, back pain. It’s feeling lonely and depressed, guilty and anxious.
Today my back is killing me. Today, when I move, my pelvis feels like it’s being stabbed. Today eating gives me stomach pain and makes me sick. Today my body hurts.
Motivation is low, it’s hard to do things when just a bit of exertion leaves you breathless and sweaty. I’m doing my best, but lately, I feel so incredibly done.
Choosing a healthier path isn’t always about fat loss, but the more visceral fat that I’ve shed, the easier it has been on my organs, their function, and, ultimately, my health.
When I lived a life of nutritional imbalance, it showed, not only in my weight, but in the health of my skin, the clarity of my eyes, the shine of my hair, and in my overall presence.
It doesn’t matter which TOOL (intermittent fasting, paleo, keto, Weight Watchers, etc) you use to get on a more rewarding path. It’s still about calories in vs. calories out. It’s still about proper nutrition, hydration, movement, stress, and sleep. Until that’s truly understood and implemented on a consistent basis, nothing will change.
Don’t be fooled — weight loss is simple. Not easy, but simple.
Please join us Monday, January 21st from 6pm-730pm to learn more about keeping nutrition simple and sustainable.
Today drained me! I had a case of the blahs so I’m planning to get to bed earlier tonight. One thing that perked me up was throwing together a 0sp dish that was filling and tasted amazing: spaghetti squash, spinach, @theskinnyishdish
marinara, and @realfoodwithjessica
sausage using 99% FF turkey. To round it out and make it a well rounded #Whole30
meal, I had some garlic stuffed olives.
This little side business I've got going on is not trendy. It’s trenchy. It’s the real thing. We’re out here working hard to help people get their lives back.
What I do isn’t a fad or a scam. It’s science.
What I do attracts doctors, nurses, lawyers, stay at home moms, teachers, psychologists, hair stylists, fitness professionals, naturopaths, social workers, retirees, college kids, EVERYONE... Hint...this is way MORE than a side gig.
There are entire courses and lectures given by experts in the medical field about the exact thing we promote....the microbiome, probiotics, prebiotics, and guthealth. More and more healthcare professionals are reading the research. They are learning about the impact gut health has on everything else. Because every single month there are more articles in the medical literature about probiotics, prebiotics, and their relation to glucose regulation, weight management, appetite/craving control, stress and mood disorders, sleep issues, skin issues, and so much more!
Gut health is a topic that is definitely here to stay. You're going to start hearing more and more and more about it. I'm here to stay too. I'll help you every step of the way. I'll help you learn so you can teach others.
It makes sense to be ON the products and it makes sense to SHARE the products because aside from better health, I’m sure we could all use better finances, and this does both! Believe me!!! Why are you waiting? What are your doubts? Have questions? Ask away. Let’s see if it’s a good fit for you and your family.
Through the end of January you can get started with one of the deepest discounts I’ve ever seen with Plexus. I’m even throwing in a special promo for the next 3 people that want to run along side me with a growing business!
Hurry this offer ends soon!
Let’s start your New Year off with health and happiness. 💕 #newyear #newyou #guthealth #heretostay #whatifthiscouldchangeeverything #journeytohealth

My 2019 mantra is... Set goals and Crush them!! I made a list of goals I want to cross off in 2019. That’s my focus and my motivation! What is your mantra for the year? -Sammers
Swipe 👉 to see what over a year difference can make 🙈 crazy to think I was that small 😱 this past year I overcame the desire to just be lean. My goal wasn’t to gain muscle or strength in the gym. My goal was just to get healthy. I gave up long excessive workouts. I gave up long high intensity sessions of cardio. I gave up following stupid food rules. What I gained was, well weight obviously 🙈 but also happiness. I gained my love for exercising again. I gained my sense of self. I gained my confidence back. I now enjoy my weight lifting sessions and make sure I only do what MY body can physically recover from. I don’t judge what I can do to what someone else I follow on social media can do. I enjoy my incline walks for cardio a few days a week. I am starting to enjoy life again and it’s such a great feeling 😁🙂 I love seeing everyone’s transformations over the years! Cheers to you on your journey too!!! 🎉 #journeytohealth #notdoneyet #lifeisgood #godisgood #onelifeliveit #dreambig
Balance, am I right? 🤷🏼♀️ We had a ziti in the freezer that I meal prepped at the start of my maternity leave and it was calling my name today 🤤 Ziti + a side salad (baby spring mix + tomatoes + shredded chicken for protein + croutons + @primalkitchenfoods
dreamy Italian dressing) made for a filling and delicious lunch 😋
Make small steps.
It takes an open, honest and humble heart. Start there, work at it a little.. you’re worth it.
