This is me wearing a Spanish soldier’s armor. It was pretty heavy—Mom had to help me stand up because it was heavy. But the crazy part is that all of the armor that I was wearing cost as much a Lamborghini in the old days (that is a really expensive car just a fun fact for kids.) But the best part is that I got to speak with a historian about the armor that they wore because I was wondering why they didn’t have any pants but he said that “they didn’t wear pants back then because they were too heavy” and very expensive. #history@cabrillonps#cubbytreks#california#juniorranger#spanishexplorer#kidswhotravel#kidswhoexplore

Another day, another Junior Ranger Program at the Lake Mead National Recreation Area. Our Nevada/Arizona border visit wasn't complete without a drive across the Hoover Dam. .
Our series of airport transfers and flights that ensued after were nothing short of a nightmare. The absolute highlight of my evening was dinner with my favorite foodie in The Centurion Lounge - and - the bartender calling me "Miss". 👵😂
