The life of a retired sled dog. Waiting for the human to catch up on a rock face. Mt Allan Traverse, Kananaskis, Alberta
Vintage: Kananaskis | June 30, 2007
If a leaf is big enough to cover your face you're in a jungle

Another day in a spectacular life 💜
Listen, there’s plenty of down-days in my world too.. and I’m thankful for all of it. It’s because of the joy and balance of life that I can see a brighter sun after a cloudy day. That I can have a bigger smile after some tears. Forever working on my #attitudeofgratitude
🙌🏻 This gorgeous night was spent in #KananaskisCountry
(35 mins from me) with the threat of a thunderstorm that never hit.. but sure gave some beautiful skies!
Rambles from a rambler
I've been living in a place where my two feet land in two separate places, or though it seems when you work out of town.
It's been all consuming in the way that so many parts
of my self,
of my life
has dropped away deep into that crack between worlds.
There came a point I realized that those pieces are sitting still waiting for me to recover them at the bottom of the crack.
So I gathered a rope and tied my knots and one by one I reclaimed those pieces.
My feminine self
My connection to tribe
My health and wellness.
Sometimes you need to step away and hibernate in a place where your wise human will resurface and your ego can be humbled and quiet for awhile. These moments are just as important as the loud big ones.
Be humbled by this life, allow it to wash over you and break you down. Fear not that the cracks show the light in yourself and the hidden potential. Welcome it✨
Grateful for my tribe. That were waiting for me when I returned from 6 months of introverted Theresa time. Grateful for my relationship with my brother who decided to choose sobriety after so many years of not. Grateful for my mother and my father and my all my sisters and my brothers from other mothers and fathers, you know who you are. Grateful for my body to get me up 10000 feet in the air. I choose to see the beauty in my life. I choose to be humble and own my shadows and embrace my faults. I choose to show up and do the work so I can show up for others. I choose to laugh so hard I may topple over atop a mountain ✨

“Stay in your lane”. I have been repeating this mantra a lot lately 💋
Instead of beating myself up for not being as accomplished or ahead of the game as Superstar Sally, I am taking the time to applaud her successes and then getting back to my own grind without allowing myself to get caught up in comparing myself to her 💪🏻
The journey is here for a reason and while it is tempting to rush it, we must realize that we are meant to embrace the grind as part of the process 👣
How do you stop yourself from comparing? 🧐
