I would have written this last night but by the time we got home, I was ready to crash. After an extensive bowl movement, I did just that. While this may seem like TMI, it gave me bit more time to mull over the facts, so you get a more comprehensive review.
has quite a few things going for it. The first thing you’ll note is the sheer variety of options. If you’ve never felt spoiled for choice, just stop on over. As for the ice cream itself, it’s good ice cream. That’s about it. Don’t expect to get your mind blown but do expect to leave satiated.
We ordered the Nuty Crispy Tower, Hot Fudge bonus, Build your own with matcha, midnight brownie and caramel sauce and finally the Celebrity Brownie. I only tasted the first three while devoured the latter. The ice cream was smooth and thankfully not crystalline. Was the brownie the best ever, no but was brownie enough to get the job done.
Where Swenson’s really shines is the service. We arrived to a fully packed parlour. The host at the gate assured us we’d get a seat in five minutes and we did. The server impressively took the order by memory and got everything right. In the brief interaction, he was not only courteous but animated and welcoming. He even made sure we got our order in time. The visit lasted all of 25 minutes but we were never rushed. But yes it was over too soon. Swenson’s does a great job bringing the old world ice cream parlour feel to the city of lights and I for one, am all for it.
Four items for PKR 1921 may seem pricey but can you really put a price on being satiated? Well yeah maybe you can. But all things considered, this isn’t extravagant.
Would I go again: YES!
