The forced and rapid minimum wage increase was nothing more than a pathetic attempt by @kathleen_wynne to buy votes. Votes purchased on the backs of individual small business owners. Premier Wynne, why not have the Ontario government flip the bill for a better quality of life by reducing taxes or giving small business a tax incentive? Do you not want a small business owner to remain competitive and keep Ontarians employed? No, you planned to buy votes and demonize the businesses that help keep the economy running. The shame is that there are a lot of people in Ontario that are going to fall for this obvious, staged gambit to buy votes.

So the first Ontario PC Leadership debate is almost over and I thought I’d put my opinions out there. Tanya Granic Allen is a social conservative and that’s all she has going for her. She’d make a terrible Premier. She doesn’t shut up long enough to hear opposing opinions and even the questions being asked! If she thinks she’s going to win by trashing Patrick Brown she’s wrong. It’s one thing to be a strong and loud person when needed but she’s like this constantly. Caroline Mulroney is fixing to pull a Justin Trudeau and try to win because of her father, Prime Minister Brian Mulroney. She hasn’t expressed any policies or direct opinions on almost all issues. She’s regurgitated the same generic answers non stop. Christine Elliott is a good person and a good politician. She did a lot for the ridings she represented as did her husband Jim Flaherty. She would make a great Premier as well but she is not my first choice. Doug Ford took a hardline stance against the Sex Ed curriculum which is an absolute disaster. He also said that if elected as Premier he would make all minimum wage earners exempt from income taxes. I hope that’s actually a policy and not something that was thrown out in the heat of the moment. He is completely against imposing a carbon tax in Ontario as well which no other candidate has mentioned anything about. I thought this was going to be a difficult choice for me because I am a strong social and fiscal conservative but after watching this debate my mind is made up. I thought I’d have to choose between Tanya Granic Allen and Doug Ford but Tanya is just too much. That’s the only way I can describe her. She’s overbearing and loud and opinionated on all of the wrong things. It’s a good thing she doesn’t have a chance. Anyway one of these four people will be the next premier of Ontario because Kathleen Wynne will not win again. I believe Doug Ford will make a great Premier. Let us know what you think of them in the comments! @fordnationdougford@caroline_mulroney@tanyagranicallen#Ontario#onpoli#ontariopc#ontariopcleadership#dougford#kathleenwynne#patrickbrown#ontarioprogressiveconservativeparty#ontariopcparty
My friend @scottysellshouses saw this in a restaurant, but it applies to government, too. 🏛 We want everything done immediately, cheaply & efficiently. But we’ve decided we’re only willing to pay a certain amount, in the form of taxes.💰And for that amount? Pick two. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ That’s why I’m immediately skeptical of anyone who says they will both cut taxes & improve services. 🤔 Government isn’t a business, not should it be run like one. Social programs take time & money. And we’ve decided they’re worth every penny. 💯
