If not let me introduce to the most delicious, quick, simple, satisfying meal you will ever eat! I eat this meal on repeat, almost weekly and I will never tire of it. You can quote me on that 😉
This is a Spicy “Campfire Sausage” (aka the best sausage I have ever eaten) they are made in store at my local Sobeys. I usually BBQ up a whole pack at once sorta like a meal pep and keep them in my fridge to grab easily when I want them. .
So what I do is take one of these beautifully BBQ sausages, slice it up and toss it in a frying pan with a little butter once they are heated through and start to get a little colour I add a serving of pre shredded cabbage slaw mix and cook until the cabbage just starts to become tender (I like it to still have a little crunch and texture) .
I always like to eat this with cheese, it just feels right 🤷🏼♀️ sometimes I’ll have some aged cheddar to the side, but today I topped it with a few pieces of halloumi that I fried up in the same hot pan once I removed the sausage and cabbage 👌👌
This meal also reheats well so I often bring it to work with me 🙂

I’ve been listening to several Keto podcasts at work and the topic of fasting comes up quite often. The podcasts basically report that the benefits of fasting include a healthier metabolism, lowered inflammation and helping the body to clean out and repair itself. I tried intermittent fasting last week and had good results so I decided to try out a 24 hour fast to help with a weight loss plateau I seem to have hit. I did buy some bone broth to help in case I have trouble sticking to it later in the day but I plan to just stick to water, salt and green tea. If you would like more information on fasting there is a book called “ The Complete Guide to Fasting” by Dr. Jason Fung that is very useful. Yummy cheesy eggs and bacon to start the day off right #ketogoals
My entire family is from the south, so you know I love my cornbread. To make this, just combine all ingredients in a bowl and use your hands to work the butter into the dry ingredients. Add the eggs and stir with a fork until combined. Bake for around 10 minutes at 400℉. This recipe makes about 12 muffins and rah one come out to about 1.2 net carbs. Yummmm! 🔥🔥
I don’t think I’m going to see a downward change in the scales this week, perhaps a gain, as circumstances and celebrations have taken me over carbs and calories. I am extra hungry at the moment and this is the time when I usually sugar/carb binge, but I am managing to keep it at a reasonable level for a change. My main goal after all was beating my sugar addiction and binge eating, weight loss is just a bonus and Keto is helping me do this. So I don’t feel too bad (a little more energy would be nice though!) 😃

Parenting is tough, it’s tough for every single parent. It’s especially tough doing it literally 100% singlehandedly on your own everyday on top of holding down a full time job. It’s being the only support to every single person in the house, playing good cop / bad cop, mediator and everything you can think of. I definitely do not begrudge that I have children, or that I am the only present parent in their lives, overall we are a very tight trio, they are my entire life. But that love and adoration for them doesn’t mean I don’t have hard days and get monumentally overwhelmed. Today is one of those days . Today I am proud I didn’t succumb to old habits of comfort eating or drinking. TODAY WAS NOT THE DAY TO GIVE UP CAFFEINE! #ugh
But I made it! So I’m chalking this up to a #nsv
and going to bed, tomorrow is a new day. #parenting #stayfocused
Y’all. I did a 24 hr fast and I am so proud of myself because this past week and a half has been horrible as far as diet goes with my fiancé’s surgery and Father’s Day, etc. I ate a few green olives this evening to break my fast and tomorrow I may consider 1/2 a day fasting until dinner time. We shall see ❤️❤️
My heart is full having my little one home. He's been visiting his dad and this was the longest I've been away from him. I'm gearing up for another week with him away. This has been one of the hardest parts of being a single parent. But I'm thankful to have my little love bug back for a couple days. First thing he asked for for dinner, was bacon lol 😂❤️🥓 like mother like son ❤️😍
