Anxiety: heavy breathing, a constant nagging, persistent fear, panic, chest pain, inability to move, terror, insomnia.
I have always had anxiety, it became worse after having my 3rd baby. I also suffered with postpartum depression. I was a mess, always crying or in a panic, a feeling of dread or uneasiness always with me, practically leaving me housebound. I didn't want to leave the house with my toddler and baby. Life was becoming too much. So I talked to my OBGYN. I told her how I was feeling and they instantly wrote me a prescription of an SSRI. I was desperate and I wanted to feel relief, so I filled my prescription and took my first pill that day.
What I thought would calm my soul, this prescription from my trusted doctor, did the exact opposite, my mind raced, I was sweaty and couldn't even keep one thought long enough to speak it. I even typed a nonsensical rambling email to co-workers! This SSRI was not the answer I was looking for, I continued to take it everyday for 3 months, but it never helped me, so I quit taking it when I found CBD.
CBD works like magic, it is my saving grace! I was able to quit that horrible SSRI. I am able to take my kids in public, comfortably. I can maintain my cool and I sleep so much better! I even had my earlobe repair surgery done while taking CBD and didn't suffer a panic attack. This was HUGE for me! I have had to be sedated before most procedures in my past. They had to calm my ass down before surgery. Not this time. I was nervous, but not shaking, crying, or maniacally laughing. I felt calm, I felt relief.
CBD contains none of the psychoactive properties of marijuana because it contains no THC. It also helps me with more than just anxiety, it helps me with inflammation and joint pain. If you're interested in trying CBD, I totally recommend Select CBD and have added a link in my Bio. They have amazing flavors, are reasonably priced and it ships quickly!
KETO Zucchini Ravioli 😍:
Tag a friend 🙌🏽🙌🏽:
for more 💯;
Extra-virgin olive oil, for baking dish
4 medium zucchini
2 c. ricotta
1/2 c. finely grated parmesan, plus more for garnish
1 large egg, lightly beaten
1/4 c. thinly sliced basil, divided
1 clove garlic, minced
Freshly ground black pepper
1 1/2 c. marinara
1/2 c. shredded mozzarell
1. Preheat oven to 375° and grease a large baking dish with olive oil.
2. Make the Noodles: Slice two sides of each zucchini lengthwise to create two flat sides. Using a vegetable peeler, slice each zucchini into thin flat strips, peeling until you reach the center. These are your “noodles.”
3. Make the Filling: In a medium bowl, combine ricotta, Parmesan, egg and 2 tablespoons basil and season with salt and pepper.
4. Assemble the Ravioli: Lay two strips of zucchini noodles so that they overlap lengthwise. Lay two more noodles on top, perpendicular to the first strips. You should end up with a “T” shape. Spoon about 1 tablespoon of filling in the center of the zucchini. Bring the ends of the strips together to fold over the center, working one side at a time. Turn the ravioli over and place in the baking dish seam-side down. Repeat with remaining zucchini and filling. Pour marinara around the zucchini and top ravioli with mozzarella.
5. Bake until zucchini noodles are “al dente” and the cheese is melted and starting to brown on top; 25 to 30 minutes.
6. Top with remaining basil and Parmesan and serve.
Enjoy 👌 -

Here’s a kind of a #TransformationTuesday
post for you. The picture on the left was taken in 2006, and when I came across it a few weeks ago, I was kind of shocked at how uncomfortable and insecure I looked. Even in a blurry photo taken from a distance, you can see how uncomfortable I was in my body.
The picture on the right was taken on September 1 at a wedding we attended. I’m not sure how much less I weigh, because I don’t know how much I weighed in the first picture. But I definitely gained confidence and a lot of self-love. It took weight loss, yes, but it also took a lot of mental work: therapy, meditation, and honesty with myself about who I am and what I value in life.
The hubs is battling a case of the sniffles 🤧 so I decided to make him a big bowl of Chicken Soup - minus the noodles. This is actually super Keto friendly, even tho he’s not stick Keto I made it so I could have some if I wanted! 🙊There is one stalk of celery & one carrot cut up for for the whole batch so no worries! Made with yummy bone broth, shredded chicken, heavy cream, turmeric for the great health benefits & color it brings, thyme, salt & pepper to taste! Chicken soup always seems to make ya feel better & soothes the soul for some reason. We do tend to get some cold winters here in MN so this one will definitely be in the rotation for the cooler months! Happy Tuesday everyone hope y’all are having a great day!!☺️💞
This morning has been insanely productive. Jude decided to get up at 5:00. So instead of dreading it, I simply embraced it and drank some #ketones
We have vacuumed out my car, cleaned out her stroller, started packing up some things for our trip, watered the flowers, played on the playground, vacuumed the house, deep cleaned my shower (while she watched tv), washed some blankets, and folded laundry. .
Yes, it's been busy and there is more to come! But I am busting my butt and not stressing the details. .
Happy Tuesday! .
