Egg muffins are back! 🍳🥒 Started a new keto meal plan today 😁 trying it out see if I see or feel a difference, while at the same time making sure my milk supply does not tank 👶🤱 I was happy to see my breakfast allowed these muffins very similar to mine.
Had a crazy late start on self care today, my babies had me busy 😍
So I fasted until 4ish and had 3 slices of cured bacon, one of these muffins, and a little over 16oz of water. ..
I don't normally fast, at least not on purpose, since I am nursing, but sometimes it happens.
Muffins: used 10 egg whites and 1 whole egg, zucchini, spinach, red onion, red sweet pepper and garlic. Baked at 350 degrees for 20 min

One week on keto = 6.2 pounds gone. 😳 I have never seen results like this in one week. I know that this is mostly water weight because keto is exceptional at flushing out water from our systems, however, this puts me in the mindset I need to return to @ww
and attack the plan full force.
I’m continuing keto until I don’t feel like doing it anymore. I still have lots of full fat cheese and almond flour that is difficult to use up on @ww
, so my cheapness is greater than my desire to get some carbs in my belly at this time. 😉

Wasn’t gonna post this - as it’s embarrassing. I’m kitty sitting and discovered she has electric scales (mine are old fashioned mechanical) - so what does every dieter do - yup, I did. So, I *thought* I was 145lbs on last weigh in on my scale, but this is what it read on her scale - middle of the day today.

Happy Wednesday!!! I think I have decided that today will be my last weekly weigh in. My weight has been pretty much the same the last 4 weeks and at this point there’s not going to be very much change week to week. I will plan to post my monthly weight loss though!

Second week of keto. -3.4 lbs, -15.8 lbs total. So the problem with a broken relationship with food is that I have unrealistic expectations and am extremely hard on myself. This is a perfectly realistic number to loose in a week, not to mention the scale means nothing in comparison to how my clothes are already fitting differently. However, I feel it could’ve been better, so today is about recognizing that this is awesome and the mental fire needs to be extinguished- permanently. Instead of meh, today needs to be a Hell yeah! ive lost 3.4 lbs this week and 15.8 lbs in two weeks and my clothes already look better! Alright, I’m calling it an official 4 lb loss for October. I’m down basically 4lbs from last weekend when I started the egg fast and I am pretty sure that was some water weight from my influx of carbs and sugar last week. Also took measurements this morning and there are some slight changes from last time, 1/2 inch here, 1/4 inch there. Nothing drastic but changes nonetheless.
I’ll be honest posting here has become harder once I opened up about this accounts to my friends on my other regular account. My intention in starting this account was to just document this process of changing the way I eat and think about food. Talking through what I’m learning and sharing the ups and downs along the way. That has become more challenging lately and I think it’s really just because people tend to be hyper critical of this way of eating and so I feel like if my progress is slow it just gives people fuel to say, “see? This is all just a fad and not going to work”. But I know in my head (And my body and the way that I feel) that it is working, but it works differently for everyone. We are all metabolically unique and now I know that 4-5 lbs/month is probably where I will land while some other people track at 10-12. So anyway, all that to say that even though I do wish things were moving along faster, I am loving this way of eating, loving how I am feeling and loving knowing that I am improving my health for the latter part of my life. I wish I had started this 20 years ago.
