Why call it #StrongSquad
? Why not Fit Squad? Or Skinny Squad?
Honestly, I wanted to create a group for women who are ready to see what their body is capable of, not how much weight they can lose or how much smaller they can become.
Being strong is way more than just lifting weights in the gym. It’s about being confident that you can do hard things. It’s about the discipline that it takes to keep showing up, putting in work even when you don’t want to.
It’s about physically taking up space, because you deserve to. Every woman is entitled to take up space. You don’t need to shrink away.
Adding more muscle to your frame says more about who you are and what your about than constantly trying to lose X more kilos. Lifting weights and striving to become stronger and better every session is empowering, not punishing. Only training to reach a new weight loss goal can be demotivating, and feels like a vicious never-ending cycle.
Yes, you should see your body change as you get stronger. More curves in the right places, more definition and lean lines on your legs. When you get stronger, your body composition will change. This doesn’t always mean weight loss on the scale, but changes in the way your clothes fit and the way you carry yourself.
If you want to get STRONG, you are going against what society says. What the diet industry wants you to think. You will be setting a different, more empowering example for your children, family members, and friends.
If your ready to get strong, feel better, and re-gain your athleticism, #StrongSquad
