Despicable Front Squat program: Many years ago I was shown a kettlebell DFS program by @strongfirst_marshall that gives me training related anxiety like comparable to doing a snatch test with a 40. Ascending reps. You work towards your 5RM by coming down 4 bell sizes and start with 5 reps moving up each size after a short rest. My sets looked like this today. 24’s x 5 28’s x 5 32’s x 5 36’s x 5 40’s x max set. The idea is when you hit 10 quality reps on your old 5RM you shift all the bells up one size. Rest 5 mins before top set and be warned, this program is 90% a mental game!
53kg/116.5lbs parked clean to jerk to overhead lunge. The added "taped" plate makes the whole bell extra unstable. I'll need more time to get used to it. For the rest of the month of December I am going to have open classes Monday thru Friday @8:30am, and Wednesday’s @10am if these times do not work for you, reach out and let me know!! I am open to hearing what works best for YOU before I set a more permanent schedule that will start in January. I am planning to establish various classes within the next month. Classes will eventually include kettlebell training , movement, and combo of both, a 50 and older class, advanced kettlebell training, complete online training, and possibly an open gym time where you could come and specifically work on your own goals. Eli's second time doing specific kettlebell work, after reasonably easily doing 6-7 reps LC each hand with an 8kg we did some volume with the 6kg. This young man has a lot of energy, his favorite thing to do (despite myself and his father discouraging him from doing so) is to show everyone in the gym he can squat the 48kg off the floor. Life is all about balance. I’m going through a HUGE transition with my gym right now yet I’m on vacation. First off, I am able to do this because I have an amazing team and support system. Secondly, I think it’s SO important to take some time for yourself, relax, and have fun! Week 5, day 3 of @coachdoro ‘s #presschallengelast60 Today I felt soooo strong again! On my last challenge day on Tuesday I felt sooo weak. It was so exhausting and I felt a bit depressed. But today I think, the Hulk is back! 😉😁 Warm Up TGU with 8kg: not easy, but I did it! Superbandpress: 2x 5/5 only with the red superband, 3x 5/5 with the superband and an 1kg-cuff. Frontsquat with Miniband: okay. I have not seen Doro‘s tutorial, so I did them wrong. I held the KB with both hands in front of my chest and did 3 with 8kg, 2 with 12kg and one with 16kg. Monsterwalk: was sooooo good, that I took my 8kg KB and did the Monsterwalk with it. And I took the blue and green minibands instead of green and yellow. 💪😁 I could not do the hanging exercise because I have nothing to hang on, so I did some hip thrusts and some other exercises.
