The first Shrine I visited was #kibuneshrine
with the gorgeous stairs! Afterwards, I hiked for over an hour in the mountains to #kuramaderatemple
which I thought was a walk, but I should have known something was wrong when the guy asked me to pick up a wooden stick(to assist climbing). I leave it to your imagination how pathetic I was on the way up. But the sights were worth it!
Kuramadera was a special place, since I’ve read this name a long long time ago in a manga, and it was beautiful indeed, overseeing the mountains of Kyoto.
On the way down, I met a couple of super cool and kind Japanese, whom I walked with together for the rest of way. One of them were so kind that he gave me a Kuramadera tengoku keychain he bought! It was exactly what I wanted but didn’t bring myself to buy it. It was yet another wonderful occurrence in my already very magical trip. I am super happy to have met them and we chatted all the way back to Central Kyoto(me with my broken Japanese). It was an awesome, awesome day! #貴船神社 #鞍馬寺 #鞍馬天狗 #京都
