I was brought up to have an appreciation for nature. As children, we would go on woodland walks, swinging buckets in our hands to pick up any treasures we unearthed. We’d go stumbling over fields on the hunt for kindling to burn, and come home covered in mud! That was all part of the adventure - the muckier, the better! There’s something to be said for stopping to look at the world around us. We are so busy hiding behind our smartphones and iPads these days that we often overlook the beauty around us. So, this autumn, we will be pulling on our wellies to go stomping in puddles and filling our scrapbook with colourful leaves. Bring on the autumn, I say!
