Never want to go back to a time without these two. 👨👩👧👦
“we didn’t realize we were making memories, we just knew we were having fun”❤️
Our in-laws came to visit this weekend and the hotel where they stayed had a pool and hot tub. The kids loved it. They spent hours Saturday and Sunday going from the hot tub to the pool and having a blast. They slept well too 😉.
We finally started all venturing out of the house this weekend! The older two traveled to Luxembourg with the grandparents for a night and then we visited our favorite local abbey for dinner and a Sunday market after church. As tired as we are, it makes me feel a little more human to get out of the house! Little William did great, and his big siblings were especially proud to show him off! 👶🏼👧🏼👦🏻
Check out some of the fun from the weekend on my stories today 😎
This is our Berlin when he was just 6 months old, on his first ever flight from Perth to Bangkok
Flying for the first time will be a very different experience for babies. So make it as comfortable for them as you can
Here are 3 very basic things you can do for baby’s first time flying:
1. PICK COMFORTABLE CLOTHING, ESPECIALLY IF YOU EXPECT YOUR YOUNG ONES TO SLEEP
Wear their regular sleep wear. Berlin wore his pyjamas from Perth all the way to Thailand. If needed, also bring their favourite blanket or comforter
On shorter flights wear simple tshirt & shorts cotton clothes – if it is a bit colder we opt for leggings.
2. BRING A FEW FAVOURITE TOYS PLUS ONE NEW ONE
A few days before a trip Alfred usually go (with Berlin) to buy simple toy to bring along – this works well!
3. SNACKS WILL BUY YOU TIME
Most airlines we flown offered pretty good range of food for babies and toddlers. It might not perfectly match your baby’s age and preference, so bring your go to snack. For our first trip it was pouch food and bananas
Finally for us parents, also wear comfortable fuss free clothes and shoes. This is not the time for a fashion show – being at ease is the objective. And forget about carrying those heavy designer bags. Keep your own load to a minimum

And all of a sudden, it’s here, their last “First Day of Kindergarten.” After a three-week summer holiday they’re back at it, but it wasn’t before a last weekend of fun. In our last four days of freedom from a schedule we visited Legoland, saw the amazing Ülm Minster (the tallest Church in the world until the completion of Sagrada Familia in Barcelona), spent an afternoon at Traumland (a theme park for younger children) and read Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban. It was a full four days!! 🎢 📖
We all used different essential oils this morning, Peace for My sweet boy (who wasn’t so happy about going back), Citrus Bliss for my darling girl who was walking on sunshine (and in her new lace-up sneakers) and Motivate for me (because after all that play I had a LOT of work to do). Are your kiddos already back in school? How was THEIR first day?
