Thanks for your support, Branson locals and visitors! We love connecting with you over our shared allergy and Celiac stories. We are all in this together.💙

We asked Ollie what he wanted to make this weekend and his answer, while eating a breakfast bar, was more breakfast bars! He decided on @simplyquinoa
Strawberry Breakfast Bars this time. They're the PERFECT way to use some of those fresh, summer berries! Our house smells amazing! 😍😋😊⠀
These have @manitobaharvest
hemp seeds, @bobsredmill
oats (FYI they do have a shared facility with tree nuts but after reading procedures and commentary from many other allergy parents, I feel OK), seasonings from @simplyorganicfoods
, local VT maple syrup, @costco
coconut oil, quinoa, and strawberries, @nutiva
coconut sugar, @dontgonuts
soy butter, @kingarthurflour
flax meal, and bananas from a grocery store I can’t remember 😂.

Oh chocolate 🍫, how can this be so right?! Sweet little cupcake for my big boy’s birthday 🎂! There is not one single bit of flavor lacking in this cupcake that is made with raw cacao powder and only sweetened with honey 🍯. It’s completely allergy friendly - dairy free, nut free, gluten and grain free. And the best part, is my kids think they are absolutely amazing! I love that their taste buds are so refined, that this naturally sweetened cake is that good to them. I hope we see more and more of a trend to lessen the overload of sugar we push on kids and give them a chance to love more natural flavors 🌈 . The cupcake is a cake recipe that a GAPS Momma friend passed on to me and it’s made with whole avocado 🥑. The icing is my original creation and is so creamy! Chocolate chips are a 100 % dark chocolate bar from @traderjoes
. Comment below if you would like these recipes 🙌!
This was just TOO funny and depicts my life so perfectly I had to share! 😂😂 Anyone else grocery shop once a week and by the end of the week you are scrambling for food and over it? But come Monday you are ready to start fresh again?! 😁💁🏻♀️
I am forever on the hunt for ways to incorporate more plant based protein into my kids’ diet that they will actually eat. In today’s post, I’ve attempted split pigeon peas for the very first time! It cooks much faster than your typical legume and is fairly mild in taste. They are excellent substitutes for meat curries, stews, + soups!
ON THE MENU
🌱 watercress : quick boiled method w/ 3 cloves of garlic + salt + olive oil (boil for >10 minutes before adding vegetables)
lemon basmati rice : heat + serve 🌱 Garlic Mushroom Toor Dal Mash
—> Pour 1 cup toor dal (rinsed + drained) into pot w/ 2 cups of chicken/vegetable stock + 2 cloves minced garlic + 2 cups sliced mushrooms + 1 Tbsp tomato paste. Bring pot to a boil + reduce to low simmer + cook for ~20 minutes. Taste and adjust seasonings as needed. Use handheld blender to blend until smooth consistency (optional)
Before/after pics (swipe left): Not a hit for my texture sensitive older one but Z ate it happily for a couple meals!
Did you know SPLIT PIGEON PEAS: .
🌱 plant based protein —> 1 cup of cooked pigeon peas = 11 grams protein
🌱 great source of dietary fiber, potassium, B complex vitamins, + folate
🌱 source of copper, iron, manganese, + phosphorus
What are your favorite ways to enjoy split pigeon peas? If anyone has any favorite split pigeon pea recipes, please send them my way! I will share with everyone once I’ve attempted the recipe on my own! 😊

Still trying to find my place in this little world of instagram. My desire is to add value to your lives. I know each of us has a story that has created who we are and what we share... so here is what I know and who I am and I pray it can be a blessing in your life.
I am a girl who has been saved by grace which means I am not above anyone. And I want to share an unconditional love to you!
I am a wife to someone who I met when I was 7. And I am a mom to 3 little ones... I am daily working on myself so I can be better as a Christian, wife and mom because ultimately at the end of every day their opinion of me is the only one that matters.
We do life in one of the most beautiful states but we are far away from any family.
I have always had a passion for health and it has come in the form of sports, fitness, food and helping others.
When my second child was 2 months old my love for health took a bigger leap when he was diagnosed with an autoimmune issue.
I used my passion for health, my love of research, and my background and degree in Kinesiology and of course prayer in guidance to find a way to heal him. I will share more on his story later... but this is me and this is what I can offer! .

Where was this when there were kids I knew struggling with HORRIBLE acne, and being put on Accutane. 👎🏻 Y’all, Accutane is the most dangerous acne medication prescribed. I know for many it was the only option, and I also know that you do what you have to do, (been there 🙋🏻♀️), I so wish we had more options sooner!
For me personally, the worst of it started in college and nothing I used, nothing cleared it up this quickly. Honestly, the only thing that eventually made my skin pretty was pregnancy! •
Now since using oils and NATURAL products my skin has improved SO MUCH, and when I would get a bad, painful cyst, tea tree would do the trick, but then dry out my face so badly that it took a while to make it right again. I’ve used this acne treatment multiple days in a row, seen results, and had ZERO drying! 😍
This photo is straight up proof. I’m so happy for her! You DON’T need nasty toxic chemicals on your face to get the results you desire! Many “popular” brands out there are doing your body and health more harm than good.
So, let’s talk about that for a quick sec, shall we? •
Up to 50 million Americans struggle with acne, making it the most common skin disorder in the United States. And it’s not only teens who are affected; one in five U.S. adults also suffers from acne, and for them the psychological toll is often no less severe.
The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) warns that the use of certain acne products containing the active ingredients benzoyl peroxide or salicylic acid can cause rare but serious and potentially life-threatening allergic reactions or severe irritation. •
FYI, Young Living’s Acne Cream’s “salicylic acid” is derived from Wintergreen, and also contains Manuka, Tea Tree, Frankincense, Lavender, Geranium, Rosemary, and Aloe Vera 🌿 #PlantDerived
There is a better way! Doesn’t that make you so excited for our kids and generations to come?!

After a lot of asking around in the food allergy community, I felt comfortable finally trying these hemp hearts that I’ve been hearing so much about with my FA kid! Thankfully it was a success!!!
These are SO great to mix in with our coconut yogurt/homemade granola in the mornings! Even if you’re a cereal gal, just pour some of this over it for added nutrients. Did you know hemp hearts are packed with potassium, iron, omegas 3&6 and tons of protein?! I think it’s time we all jump on this bandwagon, don’t you? 👍🏻
Hi! Happy Summertime!🌞We’ll have fresh gluten-free, allergy-friendly, Vegan cinnamon rolls here in Downtown Branson this morning! Pop in for a few, won’t you? We are open 10-6, but rolls fly out the door quickly. You can order a box online at sitbymebakery.com, then you won’t have to chance it! We will bake your order fresh and have it ready the next day. Rolls take 2 hours to make so we are unable to do same-day orders. Ok, see you soon, and thank you for supporting our bitsy family business!💕
So proud of my little girl tonight. She recognized she needed her epi pen, advocated for herself and with very little help, injected herself. A huge milestone, a huge accomplishment and relief for us.
When you have a child with food allergies I ALWAYS recommend having something extra for a meal on hand. Most families can just order a pizza or go pick something up if their meal plans change, but that’s just not a reality for us food allergy mamas!
I was planning on cooking salmon tonight, but once again, it wasn’t even close to thawed so I had to go with my back-up plan. I always have @aidellssausage
on hand in the fridge, so I just sautéed it up with frozen green beans and DF butter. I also cut up some extra potatoes we had with some DF butter and seasoning. I threw it all in a bowl (separated it for the kids because.... well kids 🤷🏻♀️) and it was da BOMB!! Do you have a last minute meal like this you like to throw together when your plans change?!? 👇🏻👇🏻
We are so so SO sorry we sold out of cinnamon rolls and banana bakes so quickly today, Branson!😭We will start tomorrow morning with 7 dozen at 10am. We will order more pans so we can make more at a time. We will work harder to keep up with you!💕We close in about an hour and a half and we have some fresh cuppies and ganache bundts in the case! Come see us if you need a sweet treat (that isn’t a cinnamon roll😅)! 204 N. Commercial St in historic downtown Branson, next to @revivejuicecobranson
(get a smoothie while you’re here, too!)💕
Growing up my mother ALWAYS followed a recipe and her food was always delicious 😋 After Emma’s diagnosis, I wasn’t able to follow a lot of our family recipes anymore and I felt super discouraged.
That is until I realized how much I LOVED getting creative in the kitchen! With food allergies it’s all about using simple ingredients over at my house, but that doesn’t mean our food isn’t bursting with flavor 💥
For dinner we had BBQ chicken on the grill, potatoes on the grill in a pot (throw in some DF butter and seasoning for an explosion of yumminess) & I sautéed some zucchini and brussel sprouts with a little salt and balsamic vinegar. It was #allergyfriendly
and DIVINE 👌🏻👌🏻
Somebody was feeling so much better today!
.... until he fell and hit his head on a brick!
Gah! My poor boy. This vacation has been rough on him. 😣😭🤦♀️ #momfail

My two youngest babies ❤ we had them both weighed last week and there is now only 2.5lb between them. Mylo is 2.5 years and Nico is 7 months. Mylo has a few problems like allergies and reflux but now we have to look into issues with his bowels specifically. It's been a long 2 and a half years with Mylo but I'm hoping we can get a diagnosis and close this chapter of the unknown soon 🤞
Sitting under a tree eating steak & baked sweet potatoes while the baby takes a nap. #lifeisgood
Even when I did eat fast food I never understood why someone would *want* to eat it instead of a home cooked meal. I mean, why?? I'll take delicious leftovers over sloppy fast food any day! How about you?

Breakfast on the #frontporch
this morning. It's a beautiful day with a light breeze and best of all my little guy seems to be over his fever!
Summer Vacay is back in full effect!
Y’all know I’m ALL about making homemade treats around here but let’s just be honest... life happens. That’s why I’m so thankful for these #allergyfriendly
I found these @sprouts
and had to get them because they are small on-the-go packs! Which means these are perfect to grab and go when you’re unexpectedly going somewhere with possible treats! (Oh, and Emma thinks they’re delicious too 😋🤗)
After losing power last night, I was up at 5:00 this morning to make chocolate chip cookies for my son’s class party. I never know if there will be something he can eat, so I always volunteer to provide something. He was excited to tell me that his classmates loved the cookies!
Is there anything better in the summer than a smoothie?! 🐠🍌 My kids are literally OBSESSED and they have no idea they are drinking their fruits and veggies. It’s pretty much the greatest thing ever!!
We like to call this one the “green monster 🧟♂️” and let me share with you how easy it is to make:
1️⃣ In a blender, throw in 2-3 large handfuls of frozen fruit (I like to buy a big bag from @costco
!) 2️⃣ Next, throw in 2-3 large handfuls of spinach
3️⃣ If you have any other produce you wanna use, throw it on in! (I like to add banana, avocado or blueberries if I have it on hand)
4️⃣ Pour in 8 oz of coconut water (packed with electrolytes and minerals) or any liquid you prefer, and let it sit for around 10 minutes so the fruit can thaw out a little.
5️⃣ Blend end enjoy!!! (Note: if yours isn’t green, try using lighter frozen fruits the next time: strawberries, peaches, mango etc.)
It's been a rough 24 hours with this guy & unexplained high fevers. Hopefully we're on the other side of it and he sleeps well tonight! Thanks for all the prayers from friends & family.❤🙏❤🙏❤🙏 Tomorrow (assuming my boy is better) I'll be announcing the winner of the Calming Milk Series giveaway. The winner will get a free spot in the upcoming Comprehensive Breastfeeding & Food Sensitivities Group Program! 😀🤰🍼
