“Watch out for the tickle!” Making memories with her Pop Pop 🌻
Reality. Ain’t no glamorous birth pics here. Cold toast and the most revolting milo you’ve ever tasted while laying there feeling like my insides are now outsides.
Pure Perfection 💕
Today we head back to the Pead for a check up to make sure this little guy is doing ok at home and also get his first round of injections 😢 .
A lot of you have asked what was wrong ... he was born and looked perfectly healthy, he came back to the room with us and I breastfed him, he continued making a grunting sound that really had me worried and the colour of his hands was a bit blue, we called the doctor to come in and she said the grunting isn’t normal and a sign of him struggling to breath and that the lack of oxygen was turning his hands blue. My Husband went with them as they took him to get X-rays done and found out he had water on his lungs and had to be placed on oxygen to help him breath. The following day the blood results also came back positive for an infection, his white blood cells that’s suppose to be between 4-12 was on 32 and he had to start a 5 day antibiotic treatment. It was a long 6 days with daily testing and hoping for positive results everyday but our little guy did so well 💕
15 months of loving you boy. Gosh there's something special about having a little boy that is hard to explain but I wouldn't change for the world.
He's growing so fast and I'm loving almost every minute. The constant squawking is driving me a bit insane, I can only imagine what a chatterbox he's going to be when he learns to talk more. Current common words are Mama, Dadda, Nana, More, Book, Ball, Baaa (sheep), wooo (dog) tickle tickle and yumyums 😋
Current obsessions; all of Lexi's special toys, shoes, drinking other people's drinks, riding his little motorbike and singing and dancing.
We love you boy boy 💛
This month has been kinda busy with being under contract on a house and preparing for the move but I couldn’t pass up on getting a session in at @denverphotocollective
while they have this super cute pink Valentine’s Day set. Might over post this fun session ❤️

looking up rentals for a little getaway...beach or mountains? 🤔 anyone else love adventuring with kiddos? it can be a pain at times...like when your three year old desperately wants to jump in muddy puddles, has a blast, then cries bc her shoes are dirty 😐 but so so worth it in the end and I love all the memories!

Dinner with these fine blondes 💁🏻♀️ 17/365
I went on a photo shoot overnight and when I can home the next morning she was super excited to show me how she had organized and cleaned she and Juno’s room!! An extraordinary 4 year old, this sweet girl of mine! 💘💙💘 #minime
These two have been here a year as of yesterday!! We have celebrated all day on this snow day! Love these two! I talked to them beforehand to be sure it was okay to celebrate with them and to let them know it was okay if they felt sad as well because adoption isn’t always butterflies. Adoption comes from pain beforehand. They both made it clear they wanted to celebrate and this evening at dinner we went around and shared our favorite parts of the past year. At bedtime, Mattea found pictures of all of us throughout 2018 and she cried while looking through them. She came to me and asked for a hug, and I was worried it was all too much and thought maybe we shouldn’t have done this and maybe she really was sad! I hugged her and she looked up at me and said “this has been the year I’ve been waiting for. I’ve always wanted this.” 😭😭 now she’s laying in bed singing worship songs to herself and i just can’t even handle it. Both mattea and Asher are such a gift — a gift I never predicted we would have. A gift that has come with a lot of heartache but so much joy, and we are so grateful God prepared us for them! Happy family day!!
I love this little man so so so much. And he sure loves that digger. 😘
My Momma heart is 💔 If you saw my stories earlier, this sick little dude was taking a nap then too. He doesn’t take naps anymore... •
Poor guy threw up in the car yesterday, and then acted totally fine, but puked up dinner 😭 I absolutely HATE when my babies are sick (and I hate 🤮 more!), but I love the snuggles!
Last night something hit me, and I began to feel extremely grateful🙏🏼 3 years ago I would have been panicking and scrambling to find a sub and create an emergency lesson plan.
There have times where I couldn’t find a sub and my husband had to take off work, therefore I couldn’t be mom to my sick babies. It broke my momma heart because that’s MY JOB! My babes need their momma! 😭😭😭
I never imagined that I’d be able to stay home. But I do. I don’t have to stress anymore about finding subs, creating emergency lesson plans, worry about if my students actually learned the content, or if the sub followed the plan, or if my students behaved, etc.
Now, I get to be MOM. I get to snuggle my babes. I don’t have to take time off from work anymore.
Today, I actually got to work from my couch, snuggle my sickie and I even got my workout in when little dude had a burst of energy.
Days like today, I am extremely grateful I didn’t listen to the negative chatter about making fitness my business. I’m grateful I didn’t give up when it was hard. I’m grateful for the friendships I’ve made and the examples I have to help me realize what’s possible, and that it’s worth every sacrifice.
I wish every momma could recognize the potential of this opportunity, put aside fear and do life a little different. It’s possible guys! If I can do this, legit- ANYONE CAN!!! I’m living proof that with hard work and consistency, it’s possible✨
