In a balanced posture, from the side view, the line of gravity should pass through the ear, the shoulder, the bodies of the lumbar vertebrae, the hip, the knee, ending right in front of the ankle.⠀
The head should NOT be leaning forward and the shiulders should NOT be rounded.⠀
The pelvis should be kept in a neutral position (not tilted forward nor backward).⠀
The spine should maintain its physiological (=normal) curvatures: the cervical lordosis, the thoracic kyphosis and the lumbar lordosis.⠀
Also, this posture should feel comfortable to maintain 😊⠀

Sigue la semana de movilidad! ☝🏼La cadena cruzada anterior suele ser un dolor de cabeza o mejor dicho, un dolor se hombro, cuando tiene un tono dominante. 👉🏼Modifica la postura haciendo que una cascada de eventos desafortunados como la anteproyección de hombros, cabeza y rotación interna de miembros superiores, entre otros, Se vuelvan la posición de confort de las personas y esto sumado a la vida de escritorio termina por exponer varias zonas del cuerpo al desarrollo de lesiones de distinto tipo.
En la foto 1 se muestra la posición inicial del ejercicio y lo importante es mantener el contacto con el suelo desde el dedo indice hasta el hombro.
Foto numero 2 muestra la posición final y la intención es llevar el talón en dirección hacia la mano, mientras el brazo contrario empuja el piso para ayudar a la rotación del tronco y finalmente tensar toda la cadena cruzada anterior con un predominio del miembro superior en apoyo!
Yo la super recomiendo en patologías de hombro y mas aun si el biceps esta afectado.

I love this metaphor.
The eyes are supposed to be our source of realisation and understanding of the world; however, they can do just the opposite.
It's interesting to think about how eyes that open our world can limit it instead.
The mind and eyes are supposed to work together in an equal partnership.
The eyes can have you believe that if you don't see something, it's not there, therefore it doesn't exist.
If you believe in order to see, then your mind is full of colour and understanding, and it does not know darkness.
The eyes will convince you that everything you are seeing is unchanging and will be exactly the same tomorrow, the day after and so on.
Don't put constraints on your mind. Dream big!

So much has been happening recently and I've not updated you all so here goes.. This may be boring but if you believe in alternative therapies or curious bear with me!
I'll start from the beginning of the magic this cycle.. So last week my sister booked me in for a kinesiology appointment. I'd only ever heard of it through her and didn't know what it was or what it does. So long story short it's a form of muscle testing. It tests for everything in your body, but for me being ttc she tested..Emotionally, for toxicity and for vitamin/mineral deficiencies which could be contributing to our unexplained infertility!
Weird is an understatement! It was so bizarre and everything my body was weakened by is all hormone/endocrine system related! So she could tell I am emotionally unhappy but hide behind a bubbly front, well she's not wrong there! This journey is torturous but my job I have to be upbeat, happy and friendly.
I also had a high toxicity level of cadmium or lead. I was horrified at this! I've never smoked or been around smokers for long periods of time, our house is relatively new so no old piping or paint. Then it clicked CANDLES. I burn candles constantly, I love them. A quick Google some candles can have cadmium colouring or lead in the wicks! So im on a full candle detox and Amalex detox medication to flush those out.
Lastly, vitamins and minerals. So sugar was a huuuuge one my body was so weakened by. I need to cut down. I don't drink plain water only squash but I drink a LOT. Omega 3 and omega 6 came up. I don't really eat any oily fish. Vitamin b6 again a huge factor for women..and finally zinc! So off to Holland and barret I go for those.
So once I have detoxed with the Amalex I then need to start taking the supplements I was deficient in and start a reproductive fertility liquesence. The treatment itself was bizarre and felt like witch craft but hearing the final verdict it all made sense that yer my body could totally be lacking in those key things and I need a boost. This lady has had huge success rates with her work and said she would be surprised if when I see her next it's not made a huge difference. She was really hopeful and positive✨🤞🏻💖

Testing which are relevant to my clients (even when you come with a condition which is seemingly ‘just physical’) is a key part of a treatment with me.
Taking a few drops of whatever came up through muscle testing for a month or two can make a huge difference to your mental and in turn physical wellbeing. The body often stores emotions for years without us being aware (i.e. you wouldn’t necessarily choose the relevant ones) yet this is so important to address when wanting to get better. As I always say, your body knows more about you and what you need than you think.
From next week I’ll be offering personalised Bach Remedy mixtures in viles according to what came up through muscle testing.

I know it’s common for someone to hear “keep your chest up” when squatting, and while you def don’t want to be falling forward, I see people taking the chest up thing too far.
Keeping your chest up puts your spine into extension which completely neglects the position of your rib cage, which influences your diaphragm (extremely important muscle during squats) and how your core musculature is working.
Excessive spine extension keeps the ribs in external rotation. When this happens your transverse abdominis (major core muscle) isn’t in an optimal position to stabilize the pelvis.
This means you won’t be able to fully exhale during each rep.
Whenever I teach the deadlift two of the cues I focus on are glutes right and rib cage down. Most people are stuck in spine extension (especially girls who like to stick their butts out for ig selfies) but by drawing your glutes in your rib cage will naturally come down. By incorporating this before each rep you’re already starting in a more stable position before you squat down. You’ll also have much better breathing mechanics.
The second vid is a really great activation exercise for targeting the core musculature that will pull your ribs down. Make sure you fully exhale as you rotate down! Breathing is super important for doing this exercise correctly.

Well... Kinesiology is the scientific study of human or non-human body movement. Kinesiology addresses physiological, biomechanical, and psychological dynamic principles and mechanisms of movement. Applications of kinesiology to human health include biomechanics and orthopedics; strength and conditioning; sport psychology; methods of rehabilitation, such as physical and occupational therapy; and sport and exercise.

Si aprendemos cómo funciona la Atención, podemos entender cómo nos conviene entrenarla. Sin atención no podemos concentrarnos, sin concentración no podemos memorizar, sin memoria no hay aprendizaje, etc.
La atención tiene 2 dimensiones que se combinan:
Amplitud del foco atencional: ancha/estrecha (cuántos estímulos proceso); y Dirección (hacia a dónde dirijo la atención: interna/externa).
Tomamos Golf como ejemplo:
Ancha-externa: evaluación de las características del ambiente. Dirección del viento, bancos de arena/agua, posición en la cancha, tipo de hoyo, etc.
Ancha-interna: análisis/revisión de info y experiencias pasadas para tomar decisión. ¿Qué me conviene hacer según análisis del ambiente y según experiencias previas?
Estrecha-interna: ensayo mental del gesto/golpe que decidí implementar. Repaso mental del movimiento elegido.
Estrecha-externa: atención centrada en el objeto o situación deportiva. Ej: Foco en la pelota, previo al impacto.
