If you are serious about your tea, the steeping times + temperatures here will completely alter everything you knew about tea - it did for me, the first time I ever came across it! Think you don't like green tea? Maybe you don't, or maybe your first cup was scorched into bitterness. Think English breakfast is just so-so? The water probably wasn't anywhere NEAR boiling point. Learning this was the single most important thing I learned as a novice tea-drinker several years ago. 😆☕️
Sorry it has been a week since I last posted a picture, things have been very crazy at home, we had no heating or hot water for 52 hours and a wood burning stove being fitted so we had to spend the week out of the house, hence the lack of pictures! This is my lunch today a really simple roast vegetable and giant cous cous bowl with a tahini dressing. It was wonderful being able to cook nourishing food again, now lunch is over I’m going out in the snow!! #wellnesswednesday#vegan#veganuary

It is Toast Skagen! This little traditional Swedish appetizer is pretty much shrimp toast. Made with real mayo and, of course, roe. Soooo good! Kupla Çilekli Muhallebi 🍓
1 litre Süt
4 yemek kaşığı Un
3 yemek kşığı Nişastası
1 su bardağı Şeker
1 adet Yumurta Sarısı
1 paket Vanilya
1 paket Krem Şanti
2 paket Eti Burçak
Muhallebinin hazırlamak için öncelikle toz krem şanti ve vanilya hariç tüm malzemeleri tencereye alınp karıştırarak pişirelim.
Muhallebi kıvamını aldıktan sonra ocaktan alarak, 10-15 dakika soğumaya bırakalım.
Vanilya ve toz krem şantiyi ilave edip ve mikser yardımı ile pürüzsüz bir görüntü alana kadar 4-5 dakika çırpalım.
Eti Burçakları bir rondodan geçirerek iyice toz haline getirelim.
Kullandığımız bardakta veya kasenin tabanına 4 tatlı kaşığı kadar dökelim.
Çilekleri bardağın kenarına dizelim.
Dizdikten sonra bardağın yarısına kadar muhallebi koyalım.
Üzerine biraz daha Eti Burçak koyduktan sonra tekrar muhallebi ekleyelim.
Son olarak ise üzerine antep fıstığı ve çilek koyup dolapta 1-2 saat dinlendirdikten sonra afiyetle yiyebilirsiniz. 🙋🏻♂️🙏🏻✌🏼

سلطة القرع مع الفيتا والزعتر
قرع عسلي مقطع شرائح ومشوي بالفرن مع قليل من زيت الزيتون .
في طبق نضع اوراق جرجير ..اوراق نعنع ..بصل اخضر مقطع .
لتحضير تتبيلة الزعتر .
نخلط عصير ليمونة مع ٤ ملاعق زيت زيتون نصف ملعقة صغيرة ملح ..ملعقة صغيرة زعتر .
نضع كل المكونات في علبة محكمة الاغلاق ونهزها جيدا حتى تندمج المكونات.
نتبل السلطة بنصف كمية التتبيلة ونحتفظ بالباقي .
نضع ما تبقى من الصلصة في طبق ونضع فيه قطع القرع المشوي ..نقلبها ونتركها تتشرب النكهات.
نضع السلطة في طبق التقديم ونزع عليها قطع القرع مع التتبيلة . و جبنة فيتا و جوز البقان وحبات من الرمان ودبس رمان .
ممكن اضافة شرائح من صدر الدجاج المشوي ونقعه بعد الشوي بنفس التتبيلة و تقديمه فوق السلطة.
Roasted Squash with Feta and Zaatar Salad ,
Slice a pumkin squash and grill with a drizzle of olive oil.
make the Zaatar dressing ,
combine in s jar juice of a lemon , 1/2 tsp. salt , 4 tbsp. olive oil ans a tsp. of zaatar . cover and shake it well.
in a bowl combine rocca leaves with mint and sliced spring onions .
add half the dressing tonthe greens and mix.
put the other half in a bowl and marinate the roasted squash for couple minutes. (I added roasted chicken breast to the marinate as well 👍recommended)
put your greens in the serving plate then the squash with all the juices .
add some feta , pecans and pomogranate seeds and pomegranate molases on top .
I fell off the keto wagon 😫. Well actually, I decided I needed to modify it for me, as my body didn’t feel right. And I’m all about listening to my body.
• Getting off the sugar has been so great!!! Never thought I could do that!
• Being mindful about what I put into my mouth and therefore my body has been super enlightening.
• After getting through “Keto Flu” I got that amazing “clarity of mind” that everyone goes on about!
• I had loads of energy and for once I didn’t feel sluggish and heavy headed from the moment I woke up.
• I really like fasting! It suits me so well, having a six hour window to eat and to fast the rest of the time. I felt great.
But my energy levels didn’t transfer through to my physical body. My muscles felt soooo fatigued it was a struggle to get up the stairs. And I didn’t seem to recover from this as the days went by. I was sticking to the diet that was specially prescribed for me, but it wasn’t working for me.
My food philosophy has always been “eat what you love, and what loves you in return”. And my body obviously wasn’t coping with such low carbs (something along the lines of glycogen stores in my muscles being used to replace glucose - I don’t know ALL the tech)....so I’ve decided to modify my eating and be a lot more flexible - especially with the carbs. That doesn’t mean I’m going to dive into this delicious carb laden hot chocolate (or will I....?), but to eat what I feel my body needs AND of course, to enjoy! .
