There is nothing better than a hearty warm #stew
One of my top stews is the #kale
one. This simple recipe will make you feel like your grandma prepared it for you and you know how it is with grandmas, one plate is just not enough 👵👵
What do you need:
2 pairs of Slovenian carniola sausage (kielbasa) cut across
3 large onion's, peeled and chopped
2 clove garlic, peeled and minced
4 large carrots, peeled and cut across
4 large baking potatoes, peeled and cut into 1/4-inch cubes
1/4 cup of all purpose flour
1 head of kale, stemmed and coarsely chopped
4 cups vegetable broth, homemade or low-sodium canned
2 teaspoons salt
3 teaspoons freshly ground pepper
2 teaspoons of olive oil
2 teaspoons of red paprika
Place the olive oil, onions, kale and the carrots in a large pot over medium-low heat and cook until the kale goes soft, about 10 minutes.
Place the potatos in the pot. Stir in the vegetable broth, salt and pepper. Bring to a boil, reduce heat, cover and simmer for 1 hour.
On a small pan put the olive oil, garlic, paprika and all purpose flour, mix it all together for 5 minutes. Add it to the kale stew and stir, cook for 5 more minutes and serve!
