I’ve seen many people posting similar thoughts recently and I couldn’t agree more so here we go... PRS guitars have never really connected with me...they all sound great, play great, and have innovative features, but I had never played one that really inspired me until this one. I had an amazing Les Paul (with all of the classic and frustrating problems) that I happened to A/B with this PRS and was blown away. They really did something special with the 594. It’s consistently been an inspiring and stable instrument for everything and I feel like I finally understand @prsguitars.
Love this thing. Thanks to @briansguitars
for paving the way. 🤘

Just picked up this Matchless 2x12 cab from the same year as my chieftain. It’s fun when things match.
I stayed up way too late getting to know the @meris.us
Enzo last night, and I regret nothing. Is this the new king of guitar synthesis? I think it might be.
for introducing me to Talc the other night. I’ve never heard a concept album about a pub before but if anyone’s gonna nail that, it’s @nicholthegift
!!! I’ve set about transcribing this ridiculous guitar solo from the track ‘The Out of Work Clown’ I’ve no idea who played it but it sounds might Carltonesque. Check out this album, it’s full of tunes and excellent mental imagery #talc #licensedpremiseslifestyle #guitarsolo #knowyourtone @fuchsaudiotech

Tube screamer vs treble booster, #vfe

the volume is on 8 and I ran thru different levels of gain, I have read recently that some people say these are pretty much the same thru a hot Marshall, but there are differences, the tube screamer is a little more full range than the treble booster, I'm not sure of the technical aspects of what a treble booster does but it seems to me it's more of a bass cut than a treble booster. I think I prefer the tube screamer but it depends on your set up and application, at lower gain the tube screamer wins but as the gain gets higher the treble booster starts to work much better, with Marshalls and possibly all amps it gets bassier at higher volumes, if your set up is regularly playing a Marshall on 8 then you probably already know a treble booster will get rid of that woofiness associated with some cranked amps and balance your tone more, for lower volumes and gain settings the tube screamer is probably a better choice.

Trying to decide what sounds I'll want to reach for tonight at my @rockwoodmusichall
show at 7pm.
It takes a couple gigs to really dial in what specific sonic pallet you're hearing and what gear you need to make that happen with a new ensemble. This looks like a good starting point.
I love this trem. I’ve tried a lot and this guy just seems to have the best functionality. The kick switch is a really great idea for those on the fly changes.

For a chilly & windy London day, here is a little reverb soaked, tremolo wobbled, octave up twinkling, dreamy riff from the Tiger Mimic songbook. Effects: Voodoo Lab Tremolo, EHX holy grail, & POG nano.
