to the last time we did some hiking. Feels like forever ago now. 🏔

There are very few things I love more than getting these two on the trails with me, especially after the majorly emotional week we’ve had. Arizona’s beauty amazes me on the daily.
‘tis the ski-son to be jolly...🎄
Proud of this one because she accepts my dares. But also proud of her for the less important things like being a successful adult, making me feel old, having a 4.0, eating her veggies, and driving when I get sleepy.

There has not been much bicycle practice of late.
After a couple of weeks of doing zero exercise, lots of🍷🍔 and feeling a bit 🤯🥴🤒, it’s time get the body going again. .
If you’re not lost, you’re not much of an explorer.
It felt SO GOOD to be back on my bike again. Familiar feels of attacking berms up and pushing in tread on the way down makes my heart sing. Climbing and descending through ice geodes tested our power and balance. Justin and I even had a slow mo pile up on a berm that swallowed my front tire! More space between, noted. This sucked up time so we cut the ride short. It was still well worth it though. This is a #tbt

Dreaming of a winter wonderland. Who else is stoked for ski season?? 😁
fresh snow, and the ski trails are owning my mind #thinkwinter
❄️ working towards her goal of 52 hikes in 2018! .
Raise your hand if you set hiking goals for yourself for the year! 👋 #sheisthewild
One of my absolute fave fave fave parts of traveling is encountering animals—whether it be pets, livestock or wildlife. This is a selfie I took of me and the friendliest horse ever on day 2 or 3 of the Huayhuash trek. It just walked right up to me :). 🐴

thanks for keeping my feet toasty in the snow
Dashing through the snow... or just sliding down this icy mountain. I’ll let you decide.
Tomorrow I get my first tattoo and I can’t wait to show you guys. I’ve been dreaming of a tattoo since I was 18, but I chickened out and didn’t get it. And I’m glad that I did back then because my first ever tattoo will actually be meaningful. I’m sure you can guess what it will be, but if you can’t I’ll be sure to post some photos of it soon! 💕
says there’s nothing better than spending time in the mountains with friends and we couldn’t agree more! We live for those minutes, hours, and days spent on the trail with good people, great laughs, and fond memories (and the views in this case just happen to be a bonus!) 👯♀️❤️
What’s your favorite hike to do with friends? #sheisthewild
I don’t really have words (minus my obvious gesture) regarding my time in undergrad, so instead I’m going to quote Stevo from SLC Punk:
“And so there I was. I was gonna go to Harvard. It was obvious. I was gonna be a lawyer and play in the God-damned system, and that was that. I was my old man. He knew, so what else could I do? I mean, there's no future in anarchy; I mean let's face it. But when I was into it, there was never a thought of the future. I mean we were certain the world was gonna end, but when it didn't, I had to do something, so fuck it. I could always be a litigator in New York and piss the shit out of the judges. I mean that was me: a trouble maker of the future. The guy that was one of those guys that my parents so arrogantly saved the world for, so we could fuck it up. We can do a hell of a lot more damage in the system than outside of it. That was the final irony, I think. That, and well, this. And "fuck you" for all of you who were thinking it: I guess when all was said and done, I was nothing more than a God-damned, trendy-ass poser.”
Here’s to buying in, being a trendy-ass poser, and figuring out the next step to damaging the system! See you soon, SLC 😉
And I see color when I hear your voice. Put on your wings and put that gravity on trial. I see colors, I don’t hear the noise, cuz we’re only flying for a while. 💚
Can’t say enough about this guy and our little adventure fam. He’s stuck with me through everything from becoming a licensed architect, to getting rid of emotional baggage, and starting my own business. Life is a roller coaster and @johnny5squirrelout
’s undying support and belief in me means everything. 💚
Glad someone was there to capture the weird. Thanks for the snap @shwang4.

Fun fact: Mitchell Park in Milwaukee doesn’t have its own geotag, but it DOES have its own mini Lambeau Field (not pictured)! 🏈 A quick Google search will tell you all about this hidden gem, which was donated by the @packers
to give inner city youth football teams a place to play! 💚💛
Took this beautiful lady to the airport and shipped her back to Kansas yesterday afternoon. We did so much in the few days she was here though. Hiking, First Friday art walk, dinners and lunches and breakfasts, a mimosa brunch, a European craft market, antique and thrift shopping, snowshoeing, the hot springs, a big band concert, and Christmas cookie baking. We squeezed every ounce of fun we could out of the visit. Thanks for coming, Mom...I love you!

Where is your favourite place in the snow? ❄
Yesterday was #internationalmountainday
. My favourite place in the snow is somewhere on a mountain, usually with my skis. Coming from #countydurham
🇬🇧, there were little to no opportunities for ski touring/mountaineering unless i went to Scotland or abroad. But you know what? I never could afford to do it. As a family, we weren't so fortunate. Until then, I had to make do with running and hiking in the snow. This all helped to keep my #anxiety
under wraps. After working my ass off to get where I am, I invested in ski lessons & never looked back. Ski touring forces one to be in the moment. You have to be in the moment for you own safety. The reward when you reach the peak and post descent after gives you such a Buzz.
However you spend your time in the snow, it is being outside and in the moment that counts.

🐶🏃♀️🌥 Now it’s time for coffee & blogging before tennis.
One of my favorite ways to explore a city is by running 🏃♀️ while listening to my favorite podcasts. Sightseeing, exercise, and learning—multitask Sundays.
Life itself is already a miracle. All we have to do is be calm and inhibit. We will learn to act without question and listen without answers. The earth fills us and completes us without effort, just as a river swells it’s banks pouring endlessly into the sea. 🌊 Fill yourself up with its magic! 🧙🏽♂️#magickingdom #earthgirladventures #whole
has a pretty cute hiking partner if we do say so ourselves! 😍❤️ .
We’ve seen dogs 🐶, cats 🐱, goats 🐐, and even bunnies 🐰 enjoying the trails! Who else has a furry companion they like to get outside with?
