This year I wanted to develop new lifestyle habits into my everyday routine. Here are 4 habits I want to continue to practice and have accomplished this week:
1️⃣Waking up early. This is something I struggle with; I’m not a morning person by any means but being a freelancer and having the freedom to work whenever I want doesn’t help my situation. No joke, I rarely could ever wake up passed 9 AM and this year I want to change this and wake up by 8 AM the latest.
✅From M-W, I woke up by 630 AM to make my 730 AM workout class! And the rest of the week I woke up by 8 AM the latest. Waking up early has made me more productive and more motivated to get things done.
2️⃣Stretch daily. I use to neglect stretching and only would do it before and sometimes after a workout. ✅I made it a habit to stretch first thing in the morning, before and after a workout. Stretching has definitely helped to wake me up and I’ve noticed an increase in my flexibility.
3️⃣Workout at least 4X a week. At the beginning til mid of last year I maintained a fitness routine; but from a mix of traveling, going out, and being lazy, I failed to keep up.
✅I ended my week with 6 workouts!!! 🎉 With a mixture of strength training, cardio, boxing, and hiking - I feel amazing today!
4️⃣No alcohol. I typically never really drink and go out. But last year I surrounded myself with people who do which resulted in bad decisions (eating unhealthy and being lazy).
✅This month I took up the #dryjanuary
challenge and it’s been exactly two weeks and am still going strong! I usually get weak when it comes to social events with drinking involved but it actually has been easier to say no to alcohol as the time goes by. .
With just a few lifestyle changes this week, I feel absolutely amazing! .
