This was no ordinary stone; it was full of life. There was a gaping red wound in the vermillion surface that pulsed and had warmth to share. It cradled her so gently when she climbed up into it and fit herself inside. The feeling of peace emanating from inside the cavity was palpable and as it washed over me, I felt the overwhelming electricity of it all and my eyes filled with elements far more ancient than this body. There was a heartbeat in the air. When she received what she needed, she warmly thanked it and walked away to live the rest of her life as we all must do when we leave the womb that carried us.
