✨Life Is a Treasure Hunt💎
Often we don't know what or where the treasure is.
But THERE ARE CLUES now and again, here and there.
🔐Hunches, coincidences, gut feeling, omens, unexpected conversations, recurring thoughts, incredible events. They are all hints to GO FOR IT, explore further, see if the treasure is there.
🙈🙉🙊Plagued by social conditioning I hardly ever see those signs. Too busy. Busy, busy, busy doing figure 8. Always mistaking movement for achievement.
🙌Not this time. This time I am going to GO FOR IT. I will follow the hunch. I will go and see if the treasure is there.

It takes a village. Oh boy, does it ever.
This journey of motherhood is amongst the hardest things I have ever begun and without my village, I’m afraid I would be failing miserably.
Fortunately, I am extensively blessed to be surrounded by wonderful, beautiful, brave, amazing, fierce mothers, my own mother, nana, mother in law, grandmother in law and many other family included. We can’t choose our family, but I was lucky enough to be gifted beyond measure.
What we do get to choose are the other people we surround ourselves with, allow ourselves to completely open up to and be vulnerable with, the people who we call our friends, the people who form our life tribe. I can tell you right now, the tribe I have been delivered, the people within my ‘village’ are pure magic, soul and strength. They are the perfect balance of giving and taking, the most incredible mixture of love and light and all shades of black, white and grey in between. They support me in my weak moments and offer guidance and encouragement where it’s needed. They fill my cup when I’m running on empty and are a constant reminder of just how tremendously lucky I am. In having them I know I always have someone to lean on and hope they know I’m here in return.
This mothering business is a tough gig at times and can feel so incredibly isolating and overwhelming, but when surrounded by the right people, it’s that much easier, more humbling and more beautiful.
A special shout out to my tribe to my tribe tonight. Without you ladies in my life, I would be truly lost and alone.
Thankyou for all that you add to my heart and soul and for helping me find my way through my journey of nourishing and raising my boys and myself.
I have so much respect for you and love you all so very much ❤️
“She had tricked him. She had made him leave his old self behind and come into her world, and then before he was really at home in it but too late to go back, she had left him stranded there–like an astronaut wandering about on the moon. Alone.”
Feeling super inspired after hearing @annasquelch @mymindbright @victoriafruean_healthcoach
open up about their own experiences with anxiety, I feel proud that is conversation is becoming more normal in our generation and I hope it will continue to be something that will grow! Mindfulness is an easy and effective way of easing anxiety and it played a big role in soothing my anxiety, I encourage everyone who is feeling a little stressed to try this out! So many great Apps out there that are free and easy to use, my personal favourite is @calm

“After a while you learn
the subtle difference between
holding a hand and chaining a soul
and you learn
that love doesn’t mean leaning
and company doesn’t always mean security.
And you begin to learn
that kisses aren’t contracts
and presents aren’t promises
and you begin to accept your defeats
with your head up and your eyes ahead
with the grace of woman, not the grief of a child
and you learn
to build all your roads on today
because tomorrow’s ground is
too uncertain for plans
and futures have a way of falling down
After a while you learn
that even sunshine burns
if you get too much
so you plant your own garden
and decorate your own soul
instead of waiting for someone
to bring you flowers.
And you learn that you really can endure
you really are strong
you really do have worth
and you learn
and you learn
with every goodbye, you learn…”
