Intro to intermittent fasting🍭 #wellnesswednesday - Sorry guys work has been tough but I’ll get to posting these on time - 🗣Anyway let’s talk about intermittent fasting, this is just an intro but future posts to come will include more - Before I begin, I just want to clear the air and say intermittent fasting is NOT A DIET!! diets are temporary and you can not do them forever. Most diets are fads 🥗-intermittent fasting is different because this is a lifestyle and you can stick with it for the rest of your life (and you should!) - What is intermittent fasting?⚠️ IF is when you skip breakfast and you fast for the first few hours of the day, normally 5-6 hours after you wake up or 16-17 hours from your last meal. - You also have an eating window which means you have a set amount of hours to get in all your calories and macros (proteins carbs and fats) - ❌Intermittent fasting does not force you to eat less or more calories than you need, it’s not restricting! But if you want to be in a deficit then that is possible with IF (just don’t do it prolonged, if you do make sure you refeed the next day) • You need to make sure with IF that you’re still getting your necessary calories for the day 🚹this is how it looks like for me: The previous day I’ll have my last meal at 9-10 pm. I’ll then fast for 17 hours and have my first meal at 2-3 pm the next day. I’ll then have 7 hours to get in all my calories and stuff. - 🏆Intermittent fasting is great because you can eat WHATEVER YOU WANT as long as you’re getting in your calories and still being SLIGHTLY mindful in what you eat. It does take your body a week or so to get used to it but soon you’ll be getting it in no time! - 🍽While you’re fasting you are able to drink water or black coffee (We’ll get to more about it in future posts) - Got any questions? Testosterone is an key hormone to keep in balance as we age for both men and women. Was wondering what I can post for today as I've not participated in a throwback thursday in a while, then went onto my Facebook page and seen this photo so thought I would share it on here 😄. . Last July I was part of a team that rode out on a 240 mile bike ride for Breast Cancer Now from London to Paris! 🗼this was an amazing experience and great raising over £1000 for charity too! 💲 . . If I'm tying this post in with a tip of the day it is to do things out of your comfort zone and do something radical. My confidence grown no end doing the fundraising ideas, dressing up in a tutu and speaking to lost of people 😂. Then of course meeting so many people on the event too!
