♡Ik leer Nederlands. Ik hou van Nederlands💝.
[I am learning Dutch. I like/love Dutch <3]
¿Por qué estoy aprendiendo holandés? ■A few months ago I decided to take on Dutch to continue on in my goal of being a polyglot. I mainly looked into it since it's considered easy for English speakers to learn. I'm still new to it, but I've seen mixed opinions on whether or not Dutch is really hard or fairly decent to learn. I feel like I'm picking it up quickly; for how limited i am in vocab, I can sometimes read most of a sentence and get the gist of it. Dutch is somewhat useless to learn since most Dutch people know English. But I find it a fun challenge (def~ easier than Japanese😏). So far, I would recommend Dutch to anyone that wants something different and not that common. ●My only complaint is that it feels like you're constantly talking from the back of your throat. Their "G" sound is a uvular trill and might take some practice to get it down. And like German, they can cluster words together to make extremely long ones. It does seem like their grammar rules are a little over the place, but I guess that's what makes it similar to English...
▪Before, I knew very little to nothing about the Netherlands. But now I'm learning more about the culture and countries. I want to go to the Netherlands/Holland one day!😍🇳🇱

There is one i-adjective meaning “good” that acts slightly differently from all other i-adjectives. This is a classic case of how learning Japanese is harder for beginners because the most common and useful words also have the most exceptions. The word for “good” was originally 「よい（良い）」. However, with time, it soon became 「いい」. When it is written in Kanji, it is usually read as 「よい」 so 「いい」 is almost always Hiragana. That’s all fine and good. Unfortunately, all the conjugations are still derived from 「よい」 and not 「いい」. This is shown in the next table.
Another adjective that acts like this is 「かっこいい」 because it is an abbreviated version of two words merged together: 「格好」 and 「いい」. Since it uses the same 「いい」, you need to use the same conjugations.
👉 Did you know that today is World Snake Day? The snake is one of the oldest mythological characters and has been revered by civilizations the world over. .
There are about 3,458 species of snakes known so far, ranging from the semi-frozen tundra of northern Canada to the steamy jungles of the equator and most of the world’s oceans.
Snakes are highly effective predators and play a vital role in
maintaining the balance of nature in each of these realms.
Snakes are also fascinating in that they have a prehistoric lineage, thus giving us a glimpse back to a prehistoric time when the earth was ruled by reptiles—many people have no idea that modern reptiles are literally the living, breathing cousins of dinosaurs.
