What's ONE thing you can't get rid of, no matter how illogical and useless it may seem? For me, its these spurs.
I was an avid horseback rider as a kid. My horse was my best friend. We spent hours together every day and those are some of my best memories. When I hit adulthood I put away horseback riding "for a bit" as I worked to juggle the realities of providing for myself as an adult. I thought it was just be a year or two and then I could get back in the saddle.
That was 12 years ago. Over the years I've gradually gotten rid of every other horse related item I own, except my pictures and memories, of course, and my spurs. I didnt even always wear spurs (except at events) but they were a small piece of that part of my life I could keep. They have faithfully stayed tucked away in my drawer, waiting for the day they can be used again.
My friends say I'm "ruthless" when it comes to decluttering and minimalism but not everything has to make sense. Not everything has to be black and white. There is no right way to do this. We are allowed some treasures. ❤️ #minimalism #spurs #oneday #sparksjoy #declutter
