As a teacher in late 2016, dabbing was something I was all too familiar with. My students ‘did the dab’ ALL.DAY.LONG. and it drove me batty. (Just to be clear, I mean the annoying ‘dance’ shown on the picture.)
I remember hearing that some schools were banning it because dabbing was actually a drug reference so I had to look it up on YouTube.
In the cannabis world, dabbing is when you inhale concentrated cannabis after vaporizing it on a hot surface. There is a whole subculture of cannabis use dedicated to this ingestion method.
Because you’re using extremely concentrated cannabis, you can reach THC potency levels of 80-90% (by comparison, most cannabis in your local dispensary or online store is 15-20% THC). So, this is not for new cannabis users!
However, for many people with extreme conditions (pain, insomnia, nausea) the high concentrations is what is needed to obtain relief.
If you’re going to try dabbing, look for a CO2 extract and avoid BHO and, as much as you can, start low and go slow. Take the tiniest inhale you can and then see how you feel after 20 minutes before taking more.
Have you tried dabbing? What’s your experience?
