Excellent Energy and work at yesterday’s kata course at Ichiban Leeds ! Lots of improvements made, looking forward to seeing everyone apply what they learned to their katas! Must get better at remembering to take pictures! Only got the one where we were working in hip movement and isolation. #karate #karateleeds #learnandhavefun #kata #leeds #leedsfitness
In 8 weeks time I will be fighting at the Royal Armouries in aid of Cancer Research.
If anyone would like to donate to this amazing cause it would be greatly appreciated. The justgiving link is in my bio.
To develop and grow in life you have to challenge yourself physically and mentally. I’m excited to have a shift in focus and something different to work towards.

Any PRs on that heavy power clean yesterday?
Wake up with determination. Go to bed with satisfaction 💪
Here's me last week working on my dips and flyes on the TRX. Always find myself incorporating new things into my workouts to keep it fun and to give myself something new to challenge myself with. That's where I get my enjoyment from training. I used to focus on what I looked like but now I always focus myself around building new skills and improving on what I can already do which I have found much more fulfilling. That's why I highly encourage people not to just focus on physical aspects but other aspects too. 👍
Ok ok ok - I get it, it’s a funny image dreamed up by someone who is most likely obsessed with lifting weights 🏋️♀️
But should you be making yourself sick from exercising? 🤢
As your PT, my aim is to push you, yes, but the art of pushing someone is so that their physical limitations are developed week upon week
There is little point pushing a regular gym-goer to the limits of exhaustion or to make them sick - leave this for the professional athletes or wannabes that have just watched another wannabe on YouTube do it!!😂😂🙈
If your trainer does this to you, it’s normally for their ego, not the needs of yourself!!
Go hard or go home? Yes I agree (unless injured 🤕 or medically unable 🚑) - it there is a limit

Accessory work, not always everyone’s favourite because it’s not as much fun as throwing a heavy barbell about. It is just as important though because it will help you progress and stay injury free.
We asked Dan @dantai.pt
to tell us what makes being a Personal Trainer enjoyable, here’s what he told Revive “Being a Personal Trainer allows you to meet some incredible people. I love training my clients and seeing how hard they work. Motivating them to better themselves in turn motivates me to do the same. Being self employed means I can manage my own hours and be as busy or free as I want to be. I have always enjoyed being able to share my knowledge with others and seeing tangible results from my PT sessions through client results is so rewarding” If you would like to become a PT visit our website or contact us for further information. I like HITT, tabata (lol I just typed that out & auto correct changed it to rabbits 🐰😂) & yoga. I don’t lift weights & I try (TRY) and run occasionally but I suck at it even tho everyone normally assumes I’m good at running. My exercise routine changes a lot but over the past couple years I’ve put a real effort in listening to what my body wants to do & doing that not trying to do things I see other people doing. And I think it’s made a big change to my body, I never had visible abs before I started yoga and even tho looks aren’t everything it makes me feel good about myself but also shows (one of the ways anyway) my body is responding well & likes yoga. So ya... listening to your gut feelings and your wants instead of doing whatever everyone else is doing 👍🏼
So, behind the neck press, that’s fun isn’t it? 😂
A repeat WOD yesterday, did you make some improvements?
