1️⃣ CHILD’S POSE TO UPWARD DOG: This sequence relieves tension in your hips, back and core, leaving you feeling relaxed and ready for sleep,
2️⃣ ROCKING KNEE HUG: this pose stretches and stabilises the pelvis, as well as, reduces any excessive anger, excitement or anxiety,
3️⃣ SITTING SIDE BEND: this is a soothing yoga pose that can be done with a straight or bent arm (depending on your backs flexibility) stretching the neck, shoulder, back and obliques. This pose helps to relax the mind and reduce stress,
4️⃣ FORWARD LEAN: a great exercise to release tension from the back, take the stretch as deep as you can without straining. .

DRINK GIN AND STAY SLIM
If your goal is to feel fitter, look leaner and be healthy and think you need to cut out alcohol completely to achieve this, then guess what, this isn't necessarily the course of action you need to take!
First of all just like any other type of food (carbs, protein and fat), alcohol contains calories(7kcal per gram). So if you are going to drink alcohol reduce your usual calorie intake of carbs/fats and use them for alcohol to prevent ruining your progress.
ACTIONS TO TAKE BEFORE HEADING OUT FOR DRINKS
Eat very light during the day/ days before the night out. This can be done by making your meals smaller resulting in less calories per meal. Giving you more calories for drinks.
Eat lean sources of protein (chicken, turkey, low fat yogurt etc) and green leafy vegetables to bulk your meals which therefore saves calories for a few drinks.
Drink light beers, gin and slimline tonic and spirits with calorie free mixers.
If you consume alcohol with your meals stay away from those added carbs/fat(swap chips for extra vegetables) to keep calories low.
IT’S COMMON SENSE:
A pint of beer or a glass of wine won't ruin your progress but a huge binge will!
Stay clear of the kebab shop whilst waiting for a taxi on the way home from a night out.
Don’t raid the cupboards when you get home after a night out. Instead drink a big glass of water and go to bed.

3 Tips To Have A Healthier Christmas
❄️ GET OUTSIDE: We know the temptation to plonk yourself on the sofa with a Tub of Chocolates and not move for 3 days is high, but this year get moving with your family! Try go outside for a long walk all wrapped up in hats and scarves, this is particularly great after Christmas Dinner to aid digestion. The more activity, the better, so take along any new outdoor gifts, like bikes, scooters, footballs or Frisbees.
🍗 YOU DON’T HAVE TO EAT EVERYTHING IN ONE DAY: Although it seems a challenge to eat the mountain of food you've bought for Christmas Day (in fact recent research suggests that we consume around 3,000 calories in our Christmas dinner!!) but this will make you feel uncomfortable, lethargic, and could give you indigestion and heartburn - so this year, opt for a 'normal' sized meal (maybe just 1 stuffing ball, not the whole packet) and have a rest between courses.
🎄THINK BEFORE YOU EAT: There's plenty of nuts, chocolates, mince pies and cheese straws wherever you look over the Festive Period, and it would be rather Scrooge-like to suggest that you don’t eat any treats over the festive period! But rather than mindlessly popping whatever is in front of you in your mouth, spend a moment thinking about whether you really want it, or are just eating it because it’s there.

Aerobic endurance training in fitness racing.
So what are the benefits of correctly prescribed aerobic training
1, Enhanced transportation of oxygen to working muscles
2, Increased mitochondria for muscle endurance
3, Provides ATP required to re-synthesise PCR during times of activity between high efforts (essentially recharge batteries). 4, Increase the use of lipids for fuel. (fat)
5, Speeds up recovery between high-intensity training sessions.
6, Improves overall cardiovascular health and function.
Adaptations from aerobic training can be achieved within a 6 to 12 month period but this primarily depends upon athlete.
Once adaptations have been developed aerobic performance can be further advanced through enhancing exercise technique with higher efforts to increase lactate threshold, however it is important to understand the competency of the athlete involved by testing to induce whether the athlete has sufficient aerobic development to move forward to more complexed training.
This is where individualised progression begins once an athlete has proven they can sustain intensity and pace for repeated efforts at this point the athlete is ready to advance training.

How do I stay motivated to work out all year around? I just do what I enjoy! 😊
When you do a form of exercise that you don’t enjoy, chances are, you probably won’t carry it through for very long. You’ll probably find every excuse not to do it and when you do finally get around to it, you're not giving 💯! You need to find something that you LOVE to do! Once you start enjoying your workouts more, it’s so much easier to stick to! And with that, it’s easier to make working out a habit, be consistent and see through results. Stop doing what everyone else is doing and start doing what you enjoy the most!
