🌎🔻Español🔻🌎 Help?! . What do you guys think? . More calories? . Or gaintain where I’m at? . Still cruising at 164, with about 2,600 calories a day. Not gonna lie, still get hungry occasionally and never finish the day truly satisfied. I really want to push calories higher, but not sure if I need to. . Strength is slowly coming back every single workout. Within a couple months I wouldn’t be surprised if I start hitting all time PRs. This by far will be a big accomplishment, as I’ll be 50-70 pounds lighter hitting nice numbers. . What do do? . Regardless, let’s go! . Been taking advice from a couple people on here , trying to get my peraonal life in order . Trying to get my business started next year. Im going to do a full body, mind,and life reconstruction . The reason I am doing this reconstruction is because of a couple things. 1. I am so fucking single that I believe if I go any longer I will be a fucking lost cause. 2. Its hard to picture my life not being successful. 3. If I can't commit to a person I can't commit to a business. 4. I need something positive in my life. 5. It goes beyond physical demands and any competitor knows it takes a hit to you mentally, regardless of if you are on prep or not. I have so much respect for anyone that decides to put their body through this amount of stress because it’s not easy. No two physiques are the same. Not everyone can diet the same. To really excel at this sport you have to do what is best for YOU. When the time is right, I will come back to the stage. But for now, I have some big plans for other areas in my life 😈🔥

So after Summer Smash I had a huge reality check. Between @edmylett , @jpdinnell , & @andyfrisella speaking to us I realized I was not any where close to where I wanted to be and if I wanted to get there I had to make a change with my life quick. • I drove home through the night back to Indiana right after Summer Smash. 🙋🏻‍♀️I’m still here, still surviving VBS one day at a time. We did have our first VBS casualty though, RIP @1stphorm shaker bottle😭😭😭. Not going to lie this happened as I was walking in and about cried in front of everyone. Once again I kicked my booty this morning by fitting my high rep leg day into my morning. I am trying to post the stuff I do this week since it is a shorter workout than I usually do. For me, I have to get this done before VBS because after I am toast. Here is the breakdown of today’s work: 3 rounds, 20 reps each exercise 1) BB curtsy lunge 2) BB deadlift 21’s (got this idea from @ashnordman and I love the twist on the deadlift) 3) heel elevated goblet squat pulse, with knee banded 4) Incline bench hamstring curls 5) Using sliders (or plastic lids on carpet or small towels on hardwood) mountain climbers on elbows 6) using sliders again, on your elbows, bring both knees in together at same time I did a quick booty burnout from @bretcontreras1. This is great advice! Apply it to your fitness, business, and personal life. A great example is your diet. For me it would be impossible to do the Keto or carnivore (no carbs) diet over a long period of time. So I simply eat healthy while keeping the cheat meals to a minimum. This is the exact reason why fad diets or insane workout routines lead to burnout. They are not sustainable over a long period of time. I am just OVER THE MOON right now. . I have completely revamped my diet & training, especially in the last few weeks. . I am so happy to say I’ve hit 135lbs today! Since June 1st, I have lost 9 lbs and 3.9% body fat! I’m so incredibly proud of myself. 😊 . - Let’s talk self-myofascial release! 🤨 Self-myofascial release (SMR) is a stretching technique that harbors a handful of benefits. 🧐 + Relaxation of muscles + Increase range of motion + Aid in correcting muscle imbalances 😯 Foam rolling (pictured above) is one of the most common forms of SMR you’ll see. Essentially, you will roll on top of the foam roller until you come across a trigger point, or hot spot. Don’t worry - you’ll know when you find one! 😳 Once you have found one, you want to keep the pressure on that spot for at least 30 seconds. Also, it’s crucial to stay relaxed during SMR. When we experience pain, our body’s natural reaction will be to tense up. Try your best to relax your muscles - after all, that’s the intended goal of SMR. 😓 After you’ve held it there for ~ 30 sec., you can move on and continue rolling out in other areas, seeking out more hot spots to settle down. 🤗 How does it work: - ✏️As we exercise and train our bodies, we can experience microtears, inflammation, or other types of tissue trauma - which can lead to soreness, stiffness, limited range of motion, etc. ✏️Between our tendons and muscle fibers, we have what are called Golgi Tendon Organs (GTO), which are receptors that are stimulated by tension - both through the intensity of tension as well as duration of it. ✏️When stimulated long enough, at an appropriate intensity, the GTO will signal the muscle to relax - a process called Autogenic Inhibition. ✏️In turn, you will start to reap the benefits that were aforementioned above. - - I used to rarely foam roll, but since my knee surgery, I have developed a greater outlook on taking care of my body and doing the little things. - I’ve come to learn, that if you want to be in this for the long haul, continuing to stay active, it is imperative to incorporate SMR and/or other types stretching techniques. - If you take care of your body, it will take care of you.

I love gummy bears. Swedish fish. Even sour patch kids. I used to down some of these after my workout and drink my protein shake. . Effective? Yes. Optimal, definitely not. . Now you may be confused already, carbs, sugar, after a workout? Isn’t that counterproductive to why we work out? Absolutely not! . When you’re training heavy or with high intensity, you’re using glycogen stores in your body. After your workout, your body needs to replenish those.. . Also, the high glycemic carbohydrate will cause a spike in your insulin level. Isn’t that bad? Most times, yes. In the post workout window, no. The spike of insulin helps deliver the protein to the muscle fibers broken down during your workout more rapidly. . If you don’t mix a carbohydrate with your protein, your body will naturally convert the protein to replace the glycogen stores first. Then, whatever is left, will be sent to your muscles. . Mixing a high glycemic carbohydrate with a hydrolyzed whey protein isolate is key. You’ll recover quicker and be less sore. It has been key to help me build muscle. . Some days the motivation isn’t there. Some days the energy isn’t there. Some days the to do list far outweighs the workout. Some days I just want a nap. That’s today. Not even 1 part of me wanted to workout today. I had talked myself out of it 6x at least. “I don’t even have enough time to get it all in.” I told myself. Listed every possible thing I could do besides my workout. Then I got up, changed my clothes and went out to the garage. I’m not sure I even actually “talked” myself into it. I just did what I knew I needed to do. I went through the motions til some of that motivation showed up. It wasn’t my best workout by any means...but it got done. This is my favorite old high school lacrosse t-shirt, when I wear it I feel strong and empowered because it is such a good message 💪🏼 I said I would up my cardio and leg workouts in these off weeks before the next challenge, so after being a little sore this morning still from a heavy leg day on Monday I had an urge to bike so I did exactly that! First one of the year and it felt so good.. 10 Miles in 55 minutes, a little rusty but the sweat was pouring off of me 💦 . . Any exercise is better than none! Do not sell yourself short because you think you’re too busy. Make your health a PRIORITY 💥 Swipe for workout ➡️➡️➡️ 1) Jump rope 30 seconds 2) Stair sprints ( slow on the way down) 3) Tricep dips 4) Jumping squats. Pulse at the bottom 5) Burpees 6) Lunges ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ***Complete all exercises to finish 1 set. 20 second rest between starting a new set. No rest between each exercise.10 sets total!***
