Dodgers Offseason Needs:
RP, C, 2B, SP, Front Office/Coaches
I don’t see OF, 1B, SS, 3B as areas of need. With Muncy and Freese at 1B, it looks like Belli is set up for an everyday CF role. Puig enters arbitration this offseason and looks like he’ll be our every day RF in 2019, with Joc slotted at the top of the depth chart in LF, we have Chris Taylor, Matt Kemp and Kikè on the depth chart in the OF as well. Alex Verdugo and Andrew Toles await their opportunity. Corey Seager will be healthy by Spring Training, according to reports, and Justin Turner is our leader at 3B. Freese also adds depth at 3B, Kikè and Taylor can handle SS. Another reason I like a guy like Josh Harrison is he can play 2B and 3B any day if the week, and provides a good option at SS, LF and RF.
One thing I love about our front office, is they will definitely find a way to get creative and address all of our needs, while minimizing the loss to our farm system. They’ll trade for a guy that’s not being rumored to be on any trade block, or go all in and grab the headliner if they feel it’s right for our franchise. On top of our roster needs, we need to fill the vacancies left by Farhan Zaidi, Turner Ward and Chris Woodward at GM, Hitting Coach and 3B Coach, respectively. Keep an eye on Jason McLeod of the Cubs and Doug Harris of the Nationals as potential GM’s. I love this time of year and look forward to seeing what Andrew Friedman can pull off!
