Edith Tudor-Hart, photographer, communist and spy, moved to Hove in 1957 (where she also put up her mother in a small flat), then to Brighton in 1962 where she opened an antique shop at 19 Bond Street. She died in Brighton in 1973.
Photography no longer played a major role in Edith's life but she continued taking photos including this one of a friend's antique shop at the corner of Market Street and Brighton Place. Plus Google satellite pic of building from Oct 2016.
Her great nephew, Peter Stephan Jungk, unravels her story in his documentary TRACKING EDITH showing at Lewes Depot daily until Thur 23 Aug:

👊this is Tyler, Jess and Saskia, showing us lovely high elbows in a front squat.
👊For every barbell lift you do, apart from bench press, the bar needs to be positioned over your foot. It is mechanically the most efficient position for that bar to be (weightlifting is just physics, remember) and therefore the safest place for your back.
👊if you keep your elbows high throughout the lift, the bar will stay over your feet and you can stand up with a straight back. If your elbows collapse at the bottom, you’ll have to ‘stripper’ it up, bum first. Not good.
👊You can generally back squat more than you can front squat, so you are never going to fail a front squat because your legs give up; you fail a front squat because your core gives up.
So set up for success with: high elbows, take a huge, deep breath into your belly and brace your abs as if you were about to be punched in the stomach. Squeeze your heels to lock your knees from collapsing inwards and squat, initiating the movement with your hips, not your knees. 👊happy squatting!

I’ve been working really hard this year on new work for blank inside, personal paintings and the book commissions, oh and moving house trying to have a life etc etc etc - I feel like a wee hermit and I haven’t really come up for air... So to have some face to face time with you lovely folk, well it genuinely means a lot... my tiny cold heart is warmed!

A deload week is a short, planned period of recovery normally lasting a week. It’s not an excuse to sit back and do nothing but more about just easing off a little. For the last few weeks I’ve been training hard and consistently getting ready for the Level 2 @strengthmatters
course. But it’s important to factor in some recovery time and just give your body a rest. My deload week was last week, perfectly timed with my trip to France. There I walked plenty and went for a couple of very gentle runs just to keep things ticking over. It’s now the start of a new week and full training resumes. .
