Inspiration. What helps you choose your next destination or travel adventure? Is it an article or photos of/about a particular place, or does cuisine play a role? Perhaps you want to try new foods from around the world if you’re a foodie like me! Or is it just a recommendation from a friend or family member? 🤔
For me personally, a number of factors are involved and center around my travel style but also new experiences that you may only find in a particular destination. Is the ocean close by, is the food great, and will I have a cultural experience are things I consider and not because everyone else has gone there. 🌍
It’s also why I truly enjoy when I can recommend a destination or plan a trip for my client based off previous experience! And if I haven’t been someplace my client is interested in going, I know that I have other travel experts available to assist in an amazing itinerary and travel experience. ✈️

“HOMOSEXUALITY” IN MOROCCO (AS A TOURIST) [2/2]
Check out my pic from yesterday to get some background on the (il)legality of queerness in Morocco. Also, I’m just stating my experiences as a tourist, so I can’t speak on behalf of queer people from Morocco. As visitors, there’s often the privilege of navigating societies as “an exception” to certain rules, so my experiences as a gay person in the country are entirely different than those of a gay Moroccan (but that’s an entire 5 paragraph essay for another post). So, the top questions I’ve gotten are 1) “did you go to any queer hangouts?” and 2) “did you meet anybody? 👀”
1)To my knowledge, there aren’t any official LGBTQ+ establishments for obvious reasons, BUT there are cruising grounds in certain places where men who frequent men can go and meet up (I’m not sure about queer woman - lemme know if you have any knowledge about them). Did I go? Hell to the nah. Although Moroccan police are generally relaxed with foreigners when it comes to enforcing anti-gay laws, I honestly didn’t want to take any chances. Plus, I was too damn busy exploring Fez. But there are a ton of blogs on people (primarily gay men) going to secret LGBTQ+ friendly hangouts.
2)Unfortunately, I didn’t meet anyone, but I definitely made some intense eye contact with eye candy. Although, I will say that looks are super hard to decipher bc they could mean anything (so maybe my analytical Virgo ass was lookin’ too hard into some of them). That said, I definitely had a few blatant moments, in passing, where eye contact and body movements with some young Moroccan men seemed more romantic and sexual than just the general curiosity of a foreigner....
We almost have all the gifts for our relatives. The truth is that it is hard to decide because you want that person to love his gift and you do not know how to get it right ... Although we always have a good eye 😜
Have you ever had to give to someone who had no idea what you could buy?

We saw some fun sights on our drive through Southern California! Alison grew up in that area so it was memory lane for her. She got pretty excited when we drove by Magic Mountain 🎢🎡🍭 (sorry I didn’t take a photo of that). I used to spend a lot of time in the SoCal area for work so I kept taking pictures of interchanges and freeway ramps (nerd alert 😆🤓).
