Make yourself a priority. This is so unbelievably important, I can not stress it enough.
After working too many hours the last couple weeks, my (what I generally believe the be impenetrable) immune system has let me down - or I have let it down, a matter of perspective really. So now it’s Saturday morning and I am awake at 5 AM, sick and sad.
But taking action. Today is recovery. Today is baths, and warm tea. Today is naps. And getting my hair done (cause that appt. comes so infrequently I would need to be hospitalized to cancel it). Today is journaling. Today is making myself a priority.
Tomorrow is drafting a contract and other documents for my newly hired assistant, so that she can take over some of my administrative duties! Because making yourself a priority has many faces and sometimes it is simply ensuring you have enough time to sleep, eat & spend time with the people you love.
You are important and you deserve to be a priority.
Working lunch - 572cals. Salad with half of a mattessons garlic sausage and an egg, with salad cream. 👀 Do you blame everyone and everything except for yourself? Do you blame your school, your friends, your job, your parents, your siblings, your metabolism, your environment, your genetics?
👉 I get it. It's so much easier to point fingers and blame something or someone else then to take responsibility for your own actions.
💪 However, you need to take responsibility. If you take responsibility and own it, you can change and improve your situation and start making some progress!! Is it hard to take responsibility? You bet it is, but it's so worth it. It's empowering and freeing.
👨⚕️ The truth is, doctors won't make you healthy. Nutritionists won't make you slim. Teachers won't make you smart. Gurus won't make you calm. Mentors won't make you rich. Trainers won't make you fit.
💯 It's up to YOU. You have to take responsibility. You are 100% in control of your own life. You and you alone can change your situation.
