It’s Monday! I took a couple days mentally relaxing .. enjoying my VICTORY of 100lbs gone! But immediately I am thinking what next ? I’m the type of person who needs goals, something concrete that I can work towards. I think it’s important to set a LARGE overall goal, but to work towards that with a series of mini goals along the way. SO in saying that my next overall goal is to weigh in at 180. I believe this to be a healthy and comfortable weight for me and my body (Although BMI would still say this is obese 🙄 #bmiiscrap
in my opinion 🙃).
So that’s the new number ! I’m not giving myself a time limit for 180 .. as I am way ahead of schedule for my first overall goal! I would also like to spend August really focusing on lifting - and building muscle. For the rest of July I will continue on as I have been, working out 6 days a week & following the @21daymealplan
(as always 😍).
Aug 3-6 I will take my FIRST ever break from the meal plan (longer than 2 days) for a mini family vacation 🤗 Following vacay I will really focus in on my lifting, and drop a cardio workout or 2 from my weekly plan.
3 months ago I started this page reluctantly .. embarrassed, nervous, thinking who would want to read my blabbering on about losing weight, but I’ve been opened up to brand new world of accountability, motivation, support, and genuine friendships. After a heavy weekend of bad food, lots of alcohol and more bad food, I am beyond ready to get back on plan tomorrow! So two speedy pasta salads ready for tomorrow and Wednesday ☺️ I didn’t reach my goal of losing a 7lbs for the wedding, but you know what? I still felt fab and sassy and got lots of compliments so I’m not going to stress over the number too much. In 3 months I would like to be 2 stone lighter so I’m not going to pressure myself and scrutinise the number each week 🤗
Used a diffuser for the first time!!! I don't know why it's taken me so long to get one. You can see this diffuser is BIG! I did lots of research (thank you YouTube and Amazon reviews) and this one seemed to be the best for longer hair. Any suggestions on hair products? I just use Herbal Essence mousse.
What motivates you??!
Long story short. I have a lot of motivation to LIVE a good life and enjoy good company.
What keeps me from falling off the deep end and back into old habits? I didn't like the way I looked or felt being over weight. I'm having more issues with food recently due to some unforeseen skin issues that I haven't been able to pin point. I'm unfortunately a little more "afraid" of certain foods than I should be. The caution has made me revert back to old foods this week that I know I have no issues with. Lame excuse but ultimately true.
I will be going back to my original meal plan from last year (chicken, broccoli, sweet potatoes, egg whites, oatmeal, protein shakes etc) vs sticking with keto. I loved keto but at the moment it might be less beneficial for me considering my recent outbreaks and inflammation. Gonna keep the 16:8 fast going and see what the next month has in store for me. 🤗 happy Monday!

I’m thinking about it, I am really thinking about it! 🤔 I love animals so it should be a no brainer but the reason I’ve been thinking about it lately is for more selfish reasons I’m afraid. I have such a terrible relationship with food 🤦🏻♀️ first of all my anxiety and my eating behaviour are linked because being hungry and low blood sugar sensations mimic panic and has resulted in me being terrified of being hungry so I will always grab something quick and sweet and bad for me just to avoid feeling hungry, resulting in sugar highs and lows all day which make me more anxious! Not to mention the weight this has caused me to gain! I am an emotional eater and comfort eat or eat junk when I’m tired / hot / cold / busy. By my reasoning going vegan wouldn’t only benefit the planet and the animals but it would also force me to look at what I eat and cook every day in detail. I’d be scared of being hungry or not getting all of the correct nutrients so I would have to be on the ball all the time with regards to what I eat, instead of just being on auto and grabbing whatever. I heard a lot about excluding dairy from diet but never tried it. We stopped consuming sugar and wheat a while ago but still kept consuming dairy. Recently my son Luka started to have an unspecified cough (with mucus). He didn’t have any other symptoms but this cough that lasted for about a month or more. His pediatrician neither could specify the cough nor explain possible reasons, she said everything looked normal but still prescribed antibiotics. We don’t really do antibiotics so I was looking for another solution. @katia.txi
recommended to exclude dairy. 🙏🏻 Just after about 4-5 days of non dairy diet the cough disappeared. ________________________________________Про исключение молочных продуктов из питания я слышала давно, но все никак не бралась за это. Сахар мы почти не употребляем (почти, это редко и мало), мучное так же. А вот с молочкой окончательно все не расставались. Хотя в основном перешли на козье молоко. Но, так получилось, что у Луки появился неопределённый мокрый кашель, который не уходил больше месяца. Никаких других симптомов простуды или чего ли бо ещё не было. Педиатр сказала, не понимает от куда кашель, все в норме, но прописала антибиотики (на всякий случай). Мы антибиотики избегаем. По рекомендации @katia.txi

I used to be so good at pushups. They were my favorite exercise. Then after having Olive I lost all of my upper body strength and had to do push ups on my knees since I couldn’t do even one regular push up. It was tough but I fought my way back up. Now 1 year postpartum I can do sets of 10 push ups! 💪🏽 Strength built on raw fruits and veggies. 🙌🏽 I am going to continue working hard and be stronger than ever before. .

I recently heard someone say that one hour of scented candle burning is the equivalent to smoking a cigarette! What?! #truestory
Because the smoke coming from those candles is laced with as many toxins as a cigarette, it is super unhealthy for our lungs. The soot alone (found to contain lead, zinc, tin, etc) can cause great damage to our respiratory system. Even worse, we are often burning these in places like the bathroom where there is little ventilation 😳... and cheap candles made of parrafin wax, which is a by-product of the petroleum industry, are shown to release "alarming levels" of VOCs. These are extremely damaging to our bodies 😞
