I couldn’t be inspirational or motivational today if I tried.
👉🏼 I overslept almost every day for the past week
👉🏼 I let the excitement of trying new workouts turn into “oh shoot it’s not my regular workout so it doesn’t count” (like, what?).
👉🏼 Mother Nature came to stake her claim.
👉🏼 School started up again & I had to drop a class.
👉🏼 I found out that you can’t fix everything for everyone, no matter how much you want to.
None of these things are major, but each day just felt off & I didn’t want to post & have it seem forced.
THENNNNNN I came across a post about “asking for help” and it made me think.
You don’t always have to be the one PROVIDING the inspiration.
Social media these days is JUST as full of positivity as it is negativity.
There are LOADS of accounts out there providing positivity and, if for one day you can’t seem to find something inspirational to post about, it’s okay to let them be the ones giving the inspiration, and you being the one to receive it.
You’re in charge of who you follow on social media.
I used to have another account and ended up following so many negatively influential people that I just started from scratch with a new account #tacos
So yes, some days you will post pictures of yourself in a cute outfit with a cute inspirational post to match.
Other days, you will spend the day in a Wubby with no pants & @traderjoes
cookie butter to keep you company.
I think they call it “balance”, but don’t quote me on that.

Tonight I made Beef and Broccoli Stir-Fry! Kinda thought it was gonna flop but it turned out to be SO GOOD!
Hello 140's!!! As of yesterday, I am officially down 61 lbs. I started off just wanting to be at my high school weight of 165 and now at 31, I am healthier than I was at 16. Once I hit the 160's, my focus shifted from weightloss to strength. The goal is/has been since then to build muscle. .

I decided to start my journey after watching other people's transformations posted on the internet and it inspired me to change. The only reason I post my health journey is in hope that it inspires someone else, like it did for me. Kind of like paying it forward in a way...I guess. It's still unnerving sometimes posting the unflattering pictures, but it wouldn't be helpful to anyone if I just posted the pictures I wanted people to see .
I hope I have inspired at least 1 person. And If I did, then this whole posting pictures of my body on the internet (for the entire world to see)in it's most unflattering stage of transformation..... will have been so worth it. 🤙

Meal Prep of The Week
Baked Blackened Chicken with sautéed green beans and carrots with baked sweet potatoes.
I used a bag of frozen vegetables because it’s what I had handy.
In a frying pan heat vegetable or extra virgin olive oil (just enough for a thin coat on the bottom of the pan) sauté the green beans and carrots. Season with salt and pepper to taste and toss to coat.
Preheat your toaster oven to 425 degrees. Cut up 2 sweet potatoes into about 1 inch cubes. Season with salt and pepper to taste. In a sizable bowl add vegetable or extra virgin olive oil (just enough for a light coat) and toss to coat and season evenly. Bake for about 30 minutes for sweet potatoes that are nice and soft.
Finally cut about 1.5 lbs of thin chicken breasts into 1 inch cubes. I get mine from the butcher. Coat and toss with your favorite spicy dry rub. I use Blackened Cajun seasoning. Bake at 350 for approximately 10-15 minutes.
I layer my baking pans with aluminum foil and spray a non-stick spray like Pam for easy clean up.
Take all the ingredients and distribute as you want in your favorite meal prep containers. Enjoy!

This is what life is made out of: reflecting. Reflection helps you return to the light. Something deeper is connected. Thinking deeper than the surface, but then returning to that surface with more light. We become more illuminated. intentional mindfulness helps us see the world differently. More things will be revealed to you once you reflect, so the next time you look out a window or view yourself in the mirror, reflect: What am I really seeing? What is on my mind right now ? What is life telling me in the moment.
In this photo I reflected on life in general. I was in Thailand, thinking about how we all look different yet bleed the same. I reflected about culture and how much I can appreciate the differences. Thailand’s value of honor helped me to see how important it is to give more honor to people. My aim is to not undervalue others, and if that is the case then I can no longer undervalue myself.

!🤗 Each morning I woke up before work, took 20 mins out of my morning to get this full body workout in, and then I was feeling pumped all day long! No work haters or anything could bring me down. Sunday's are our much needed rest day. Only one week in and I'm already feeling so much stronger. I even think I'm possibly feeling some abs coming in 🤞🏽🙏🏽😁 Tomorrow kicks off week 2!😊

We all go thru hard things. I know others have gone thru far harder things than me, but this last week has been MY HARDEST.
I had a complication post gallbladder removal surgery that left me in the most severe pain I’ve ever experienced. I am home now and have spent the day processing thru this experience.
When the severe pain started, we went to the ER. The process felt like an eternity and I remember thinking to myself, “I CANNOT take this for another MINUTE.” ... it ended up being almost 48 HOURS later until I was out of that kind of pain.
There were moments of heavy duty meds to help take a slight edge off and maybe knock me out for a bit, but no true relief for nearly 48 hours. I didn’t get thru one more minute, I got thru thousands.
And I did it because there was no other option. I felt totally trapped, and there was nothing I could do about it except breath and pray. And I did it.
It’s a reminder to me that, even when we think we’ve reached our limit, and we can’t possibly do any more or go any farther... we can.
The food I cooked for my friend, my son and myself. My friend is sick and instantly said no, my son ate 1/4 of it (he swore he wanted to try) and I bet too eat the rest over time. Yes.
I was starving, everything sounded good and I experimented because I waited too long to eat. FOOD: salmon with peach kiwi salsa over a bed of greens (spinach and kale with a little lemon juice) with assorted cooked greens (zucchini, before squash, purple/red potatoes, broccoli, carrots, red peppers and cherry tomatoes). As I said, baby steps. Take out the carrots, salsa and potatoes and it could be keto-ish. Baby steps.

Who said exercising needs to be so structured, repetitive, predictable and boring? It's not always about Deadlifts, mountain climbers or Burpees. Sometimes we just need to move our bodies in a more creative and challenging way. Move our bodies in a way where we "forget" we are exercising. This workout hits the core and legs in a unique way. This group will never look at resistance bands the same way again 😂
