I've noticed I've got a lot of new followers so I thought I'd tell you all about myself and my journey.
I'm Sarah, and I'm a mother to a crazy 2.5 year old little girl called Effie. I work in student services in a University, which means i only work during term time 🙌 we own our own house, and this year Matthew has started growing our own veggies and some fruit in our garden and green house, we have a cat and a campervan. We are a very outdoorsy and active family.
My insta page is mainly dedicated to fitness and food, I share workouts and recieps occasionally. But I also post about our campervan adventures and the occasional parenting posts too because I like to share all aspects of my life 😊
My fitness journey started almost 6 years ago, I was overweight, I drunk too much alcohol and didn't look after myself well enough. I had been a slim child, but when the teenage years hit so did the weight gain. I was bullied for being overweight throughout my teenage years. But something changed 6 years ago, i wanted to change, i wanted to be fit and not overweight, I started running, then I started eating better and then I started some light weight training too. I maintained my weight loss for a year before I got pregnant, i kept training throughout my pregnancy and was back to my pre pregnancy weight by the time I was 6 months post baby. Since then I've been maintaining for the last 2 years.
Now I'm all about the weight training, and less about the cardio. I don't carb cycle, track macros or follow a meal plan. Instead I'm all about intuitive eating, nothing is off limits, I eat when I'm hungry, if I want something I eat it. No food labels, and no good guilt. I'm all about the balance, living life and happiness 💓 It's a sustainable lifestyle not a diet!!!
