What would Christmas be without traditions, family, and favorite recipes🍪 .
As my children start their new lives, some out of state, some hours away, some sharing time with boyfriend’s family, etc.
It gets more and more difficult to get everyone together at one time and in one place.
I see now...how precious time spent with your children really is, and how much I would pay to go back in time and have a Christmas do-over with my children.
All while they are little.
Some women think I’m crazy🤪 and that I should celebrate that they are all out of the house. .
I’m super proud of all of them, but I do miss them.
The best thing I ever did was to be a stay at home Mom.
I miss it and I wait patiently for my grandchildren. .
Today my daughter Lily had two days off and decided to spend them with me decorating the tree and baking cookies.
We chatted, we laughed, and yes, we ate the cookies.
I don’t count those macros, you know why?
Because these are the memories that I will leave behind to my children, and through them, my grandchildren, and so on.
Life and family is a blessing that we should never take for granted.
There will be a day, where I may spend the holidays with just my spouse and I. Or I may even be alone in my old age, but not right now.
Today I will soak in every minute of this visit.
I love you, my Lily ❤️
