There’s so much to celebrate during the wedding planning process:
Checking things off of your todo list
Finding a dress
Counting down the days to “I do”
Friends coming together
One thing I tell each of my brides is to take time during the wedding planning process to breath and to take in each moment as it comes. It’s easy to get caught up in all of the excitement and forget to cherish each moment.
So now, in this moment—whether you’re a bride or not—take a second to step back from what you are doing...
Take it all in.
Cherish this moment. (No matter how mundane it may seem)
Life is too short to be rushed. 🖤
I went to @cm_denver
yesterday, and on my way out I snagged one of these donuts courtesy of @beetboxbakery.
Donuts aren’t normally my thing, but this one is gluten free and vegan (i.e. dairy free), and honestly, a part of me was thinking, “that donut would look awesome on my Instagram” (🤷♀️😂🤦♀️ I know right?)⠀
As I was thinking about sharing it though, I got a little worried. Like, am I being hypocritical with this donut??! It’s not exactly a “heathy” food or a “functional” food.
And then I remembered a post I read a few weeks ago about how our quirks and holding conflicting beliefs and opinions don’t make us hypocritical, they make us human. ⠀
I think this is especially true when it comes to our relationship with food. ⠀
I believe in eating foods that work with your body (being aware of and honoring food sensitivities and intolerances). I believe in “clean eating” and focusing on the quality of ingredients. I believe in prioritizing foods that are grown/raised sustainably and that heal rather than harm the planet. But I also believe in practicing intuitive eating and finding moderation and balance with your eating. I believe food is joy. I believe it’s okay to make yourself a little sick on chocolate or a big fat burrito now and again, and to do the best you can with what you’ve got when it comes to food because none of us are perfect. ⠀
What conflicting beliefs or ideals do you have when it comes to food?
I love bangkok’s street food like a fat kid loves cake!
you don’t really know someone until you say no to them 🙇🏻♀️

“The message of scripture and the gospel of Christ is not that in following Him everything goes right, but that He is enough, no matter what happens.” What. A. Day.
Smile, it increases your face value 😄
few things make me happier than watching florals come together.
Today was quite an adventure. Turns out there was a tornado that ripped through the property and uprooted so many trees and entirely blocked the path shown on the map. My spin-around in the woods was much enjoyed and I ended up wandering up and under mislaid trees for more than 2 hours with many books and art supplies weighing me down. (I planned to find the river after a short walk for a sit down and draw.) I sat down, instead, under a fallen tree to draw some weeds and collect myself. It was bloody hot and the sun was straight upon me as I traversed the wild! Black Medic and some kind of minty and plenty of thorny brambles (much better for gorging on than plowing through.) were within reach. Still filling in pages from my #100dayproject

all night and neglected new drawings. I needed a lull. Maybe.
Am I in Richmond or Tuscany? ☀️
And it’s all so good. 💕 Happy weekend guys!
National hammock day is happening this weekend... celebrate responsibly. ☀️ #HammockLife
He made hell feel like heaven.
Let me be your soulmate for the night, just for the night 🎶🎶🎶
I 💙 travelling with this guy ... cause he always carries all the heavy things 😂. Guess I’m going to have to tough it out on my own tomorrow as he’s got a few days head start on our next big adventure and I’m off to catch up with him!
Guys this summer has simply been one for the books. Because we’ve been so busy planning for this next out of the blue trip, we have yet to share our photos. So heaps of those from Havasu coming and MORE besides. Good problems right?!
As an aside the area of Havasupai suffered a major flash flood recently, causing the evacuation of hikers and closing the area for a period of time. We are so incredibly grateful we got to experience this spectacular place back in May, and our hearts are with everyone who was affected, particularly with the Havasupai tribe. Sending positive vibes!
Every time I choose to love myself rather than stay stuck in my very familiar insecurities I find incredible healing in my heart. There is always a choice and I’m just now learning to make the right ones that empower me as a woman. 🖤
Envision where you want to be and every day do something to get there. ✌️

This cute pink, white, and blue house is the closest I’m getting to Mykonos this year 🤷🏻♀️🌸
On the cusp of golden hour.
