Celebrating Life Milestones.
As the graduation season is approaching, I start to think about the importance and power of celebrating life milestones. These celebrations such as birthdays and anniversaries represent growth, signs of hope and strength. I also believe that celebrations are also good for physical and mental health, as well as family relationship and a healthy self-concept.
Give thanks for everyday moments.
And along the way, doesn’t hurt to throw in a Disney celebration into the mix.
♻️💦 #livingconsciously #sustainablewayofliving #Tulum

Hey guys! I updated my account username yesterday and wanted to give you a quick reintroduction to me and give you an idea of what to expect moving forward.
I’m Angelica and I recently woke allll the way up. 👀
I experienced a conscious/spiritual awakening slowly over the course of a year, but really my whole life up until that point had been like Paula Abdul’s Opposites Attract: “Two steps forward, two steps back...” 💃🏻😉
I help people build brands and businesses that are aligned with their highest vision at @wearecultiva.
I’ve been called a Creative Translator, Mind Reader, Magician, Creative Genius, etc. It is so nice to hear these things but I can’t take credit for my brain. It’s always generated divergent thoughts, but like everyone, needed to be fine-tuned in order to reach a higher state of consciousness.
This is what it means to wake up. It’s being aware of our state of being (mind, body, spirit) and do the work in ourselves to bring us back into alignment and reach higher levels in our lives. Then we’ll naturally align with the thoughts, ideas, conversations and people that will help us all rise together.
When we take the time to develop our craft as Creatives, we are doing hard work on a subconscious level (flow state). Then we can rewire our brains and use Creativity as a path towards healing and becoming our genuine selves.
What I truly want is for anyone else who’s going through something like this to know that there isn’t anything wrong with you. You’re not broken, you’re not crazy, but I encourage you to seek out people who’ve walked this path first to think through this time clearly. I was fortunate to have people in my life who not only walked this journey before me, but are experts in knowing how to heal at the root.
I will be sharing ways to tap into your inner Creative Genius by showing you how I tap into mine. You can make something truly useful from this time in your life. When you’re expressing yourself Creatively, you’re able to let more truth in and keep your mind clear even in the midst of doubt. You’ve got this, and I’ve got your back. 💪🏼
Package free exfoliating body scrub from @lush.
This one is called sandstone and it’s got a really fresh zingy kinda smell. If you know me in real life you know I love a tan 😂😂😩 but It’s important if your using fake tan to exfoliate before putting it on (believe me, I’ve been the victim of not doing this lmao) so using this in the shower the day before tanning makes your skin super soft and ready for that glow ahahaha ☺️🌸 Happy Monday pals, last day of a break before my take hone exam starts so I’m taking some time to chill and sort my life out a bit 😂 hope everyone has fab weeks 💃🏼
"If not now, when?"
About 12 years ago I was struggling with the decision to study aboard in the United States. At that time, I was a freshman at the same university my older brother was attending. I had made many good friends with my dorm roommates and classmates; I was involved in two annual dance productions at my college and the adjunct sister school; I was playing in the freshman female basketball competition; our department won second place in the school-wide drama competition in which I was the lead actress.
The list went on. There were so many amazing things about my college freshman life that I was having in Taiwan, the place I was born and grew up in.
Yet, I felt like something was missing. I wanted to experience the world and I wanted to challenge myself. After multiple lengthy discussion with my parents (you bet there were tears), I withdrew from the college in Taiwan and came to the US.
And, I had so many failures.
I failed my first, second, and third essays in my first freshman English class. Because I jumped right into regular classes and didn't take any ESL class. I had no clue what I was doing. I did study English in Taiwan and thought I knew enough to get by, how wrong was I. I attended public school all my life in Taiwan and English was always only a "subject" that we learned 2-3 times a week (3-4 hours max maybe).
After failing multiple essays, I still continue to love languages. By the third year in college, I declared my double major in Comparative Literature. Because, why not, for my love of literature and Shakespeare. Now I looked back on this journey, I'm so glad that I was so naive to think it was a "now or never" decision when I decided to come to the US by myself.
What would I do now if I asked myself again, "if not now, when?"
Crawled through the cave on my knees so I could see and touch the ice that was formed hundreds of thousands of years ago. #icelandicecave #glacierhikes

• 1.5 tsp vanilla extract • 1 tsp vegan butter • optional: a handful of raspberries and vegan white chocolate chips 🥣Method: •Preheat the oven to 180c •Core and thinly slice the apples before laying them in the pastry shell. •Sprinkle the vanilla extract over the apples and dot the butter over them. Sprinkle the sugar over the top. •Drizzle the agave over the tart and pop in the over for 20 mins until the apples are golden and the sugar has caramelised. •To serve pop a handful of raspberries and chocolate chips on top and enjoy with @oatly

Alabama ”just raped every woman that's been raped .” - Merika Coleman
I'm far from a hardcore feminist, I practice equality.
That being said, my heart aches and my stomach turns for the women in Alabama. For a man to decide the fate of a woman's body, future and mental health is absolutely repulsive. I'm a strong believer in ”Your life, your choice.” ESPECIALLY, if it pertains to something you weren't wanting. If what you decide affects me to the point of creating such a horrific law, I need a fucking hobby.
Every day children are already born into a life where they are unwanted, uncared for, unloved, ignored and abused. For a group of bullheaded, ignorant and privileged men who barely know where the clit is, let alone what a woman’s body is capable of or the toll pregnancy can take on a person who's not yet ready, is something disgusting.
”There is an attack on women happening in this country right now. I won't be silent and I have no shame about my personal choice. I am 1 in 4. #youknowme
❤️ I know there is power in sharing our stories. I know it.” - @busyphilipps
”Make no mistake-a state that criminalizes abortion but ranks 50th in public education doesn't give a shit about children.” - Stephanie Wittels Wachs

happiness blooms from within
little by little and step by step, our beautiful project called Wi World and I is starting to flourish. Overcoming the challenges of opening a new business, has given us more strength to keep working hard towards our goal.
We want to inspire you with a unique and an unforgettable experience every time you show up on your mat, by crafting the best eco-friendly and sustainable products, consciously designed by yogis for yogis.
We can’t wait to share all the good news with you.
G e t r e a d y 💫
When we do stuff that we don’t want to do to make other people happy, it’s not good for us and it’s not actually good for them either.
The experience is lackluster for both, at best.
I can tell when someone says yes when they really mean no and I’d really rather they didn’t do it than do it out of guilt and obligation. It doesn’t feel good to receive from that place.
So...as we move toward the beginning of a new week as the moon wanes and the energy turns within, what is it time to say no to?
Energetically, this phase of the lunar cycle is about bringing things to completion. It’s like autumn when the leaves turn and fall and things are getting cozier and quieter.
It’s a really good time to take stock of what you’re no longer going to do or aren’t going to start doing to begin with.
May this completion phase bring you peace and solace as you wrap things up and prepare for a pause before the next cycle begins.
If you continue in this present state of health, what will your health look like and how will you feel five years down the road? How about ten years? #chronicillnessawareness
Finally finished my @woolandthegang
jumper ✂️ this was my second project and it took me about two months (knitting almost everyday for up to an hour). The yarn is make from tencel from sustainable harvested eucalyptus trees - it’s super soft and stretchy! I love knitting because I find it very meditative and it’s so rewarding to make something yourself. I highly recommend @woolandthegang
if you want to try out knitting for the first time 💚 #woolandthegang #yayforearth
Keep it simple. Start small.
Anyone that’s taken an honest look at their consumption has seen that waste is everywhere! Reducing it can seem daunting if you take on too much at once so I recommend focusing on one item and building a consistent habit that fits the context of your life.
We started with water bottles; we stopped buying them and built a habit to keep a reusable near by. I literally haven’t bought or used a water bottle in almost 2 years!
Next, we focused on plastic bags. When we grocery shop, we put our items into reusable cotton or mesh bags or put some items directly into the car without any bag at all.
The easiest way to start with plastic bags is to pick one grocery item that you buy consistently and commit to leaving it bagless. For example: we buy a lot of oranges so we committed to keeping the oranges bagless.
Apples, bananas, avocados and many other groceries quickly followed suit. Before we knew it we had completely eliminated plastic bags from our shopping cart.
We’re doing this with two young kids and if you ever been shopping with kids then you know it makes the process more complicated. These changes were odd at first but now it’s become our new normal.
I challenge anyone reading this to take an honest look at their consumption and commit to reducing or completely eliminated a single item of waste from your life.
If you’re up for the challenge or have already started your ZW journey then leave a comment and tell us what/how you’ve reduced waste ✌🏼💚☀️⚡️🌱🚯♻️🌎💯
A spiritual and conscious awakening is not cute. It is weird, emotionally exhausting and beyond that, pure chaos. But this is a kind of beautiful chaos that needs no explanation or defense. It’s the chaos that brings natural order back into our universe when we allow it to.
The transformative power of my faith and walk with Jesus is what changed me and woke me up. But I only was able to connect in that way because I believed God (my Higher Power) was who He said He was.
I doubted and admitted my doubt.
I trusted Him beyond my doubt.
He showed me where my faith was weakest.
He allowed me to fall apart gracefully.
He never left me and calls me beloved.
He only asked me to believe and to continue to trust Him and so I do.
That is what gives me peace beyond understanding. That is what allows me to keep showing up.
I discerned His voice through my foundation of truth. If we’re being honest we’re all rooting for the same things: to be seen, to be known, to be loved. If we’re courageous enough to look within ourselves first and trust that there something greater than ourselves that we cannot explain through logic or emotion, then anyone can shed the old self and gain a new one. And that is something worth talking about.
— “Then Jesus told his disciples, "If anyone would come after me, let him deny himself and take up his cross and follow me. For whoever would save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for my sake will find it. For what will it profit a man if he gains the whole world and forfeits his soul? Or what shall a man give in return for his soul?”

Patience is key when trying to reduce waste but sometimes you just gotta move forward.
We recently fell in love with house plants and have accumulated several over the last few months most of which need to be transplanted into new pots. I’ve been to the thrift store several times looking for pots but haven’t had any luck. So, I decided to buy new pots from Home Depot.
I went back and forth between the $7 plastic pots and these $20 wooden pots. I decided to buy the wooden pots because they’re natural and look awesome!
While reducing waste is important, happiness is even more important. As @mariekondo
says, “hold the item in your hand and if it brings you joy then keep it.” These pots brought me much more joy then anything I’ve seen at the thrift store so they’re making their way to our house.
The message here is this: do your best under the context of your life but don’t sacrifice joy and happiness in the process. Do and buy the things that make you happy because we only get one life and I sure as hell am gonna fill mine with #positivevibes

take trains, not planes.
you don’t need to go very far to find beautiful places.
we’re all so obsessed with getting as far as we can within the shortest length of time possible so we can cram everything we can possibly see and more - all in and fit into a budget and our set holiday days.
it literally sucks the #purpose

you don’t need to go half away across the world to find whatever it is that you’re looking for.
everything you need is already all around you - probably just around the corner... or at least in the country you’re in.

Dreams are as old as man, and yet today science can't prove why we dream. Our ancestors knew why. They believed that dreaming was vital for well-being, just like breathing, eating, drinking sleeping and being out in nature. They believed that those who didn't dream were seriously ill. Dreams were literally a matter of life or death.
Dreaming is a mysterious and magical activity that allows us to tap into our soul's deepest wisdom while travelling through space and time. Dreaming is practical magic
Dreaming is memory processing, allowing us to consolidate learning and pass information from short term to long term memory. Dreams are a reflection of our waking lives.
Dreams allow the mind to work through difficult and challenging thoughts, emotions and experiences for emotional and psychological balance.
Dreams are the brain’s response to biochemical changes and electrical impulses that occur during sleep.
Dreams are the brain’s way of preparing us for challenges and danger.
Dreams are a form of consciousness connecting past, present and future and, taking information from past and present to help prepare the future.

Do you ever feel eco-anxiety?
Every day, more and more information (usually negative) comes out about the environmental situations we face; we are bombarded by it. We can be on platforms like this and acknowledge and share what is happening, but going deep down this rabbit hole can leave you feeling overwhelmed and pretty pessimistic about the whole thing, and the issues we face. This can weigh heavy on your heart and mind. Eco-anxiety is something that has been discussed a lot this mental health week, so I thought I would share my experience of it.
Eco-anxiety for me kicks in when you feel you face an insurmountable challenge, when I realise how f’d up everything is, that there are people who don’t care/ don’t realise what’s going on. That we have a system that exploits the environment we depend on, and companies profit from this, all whilst impacting those who have the least amount of resources to deal with the consequences of these actions. It can be difficult dealing with these emotions.
We can change our actions which is important and if you have the agency to, you can use your voice and protest to bring attention to these issues – like @extinctionrebellion
reminding us that people power exists and it can lead to change. However, looking at the predictions and what is required to limit temperature rises I can’t help but feel pessimistic based on the effectiveness of current governing bodies and the system they operate within.
Eco-anxiety is definitely something I have experienced before, particularly when thinking about the sheer challenge we have to overcome. However this brings it back to something I recently posted about - I cannot change or address every aspect of environmental destruction, and therefore to emotionally attach myself to all these issues has no benefit. Pessimism provides no benefit, it won’t bring anything positive to my life. Instead I choose HOPE! I focus on what I can do, I take back power. I know that the actions I take and the actions others take have a positive impact, and I hope this can bring about the change required.
A Work of Solitude:
Invite a man in to taste this space, and he better know how to tread light, respectful.
This is a womb of intuition, a woman cave. He better honor the hand prints on the wall.
This mind, this delicately sculpted grace, years in the making. Thoughts carefully aligned, boundaries steadily defined. Words meticulously chosen, to share honest interpretations, honestly spoken. To channel rounded perspective, intuitive wisdom.
Here, all is revealed. Peer over the rim into the mirror, the looking glass. But do not splash, do not ripple. Stay calm, stay humble.
A real woman’s heart is a work of art. Hoarded bits of love and loss, assembled and tossed. To spell reason, spell growth.
A real woman wears solitude well. A robe, a veil. Shimmering folds. Crafts magic while alone, shapes diamonds from stone.
If she invites you in, you better know how to hold your own.

About 5 months ago I was eating an energy bar and it dawned on me that it’s unrecyclable wrapper would outlive my great, great grandchild! And then I thought to myself… how many bags of crisps, chocolate bars, biscuits had I eaten over my life so far? This is when my obsession with living a plastic free lifestyle began.
One of the biggest challenges of living a low waste lifestyle are those moments when you’re on the go. When you need a quick snack it’s easy to cave and buy less sustainable snacks simple because they’re easier to find. So it’s best to be prepared.
I’ve started prepping snacks and meals in advance. Not only is it better for the environment, but the best thing about this is that I can control what goes in my food.
I have a handful of low waste and low prep snacks that are great to travel with. Here’s one that takes 5 minutes to make and will last you a couple of weeks:
1 cup of medjool dates
1 cup of almond flour (if you don't have any you can whizz up some almonds)
1/4 shredded coconut
1/4 - 1/2 tsp sea salt (depending on taste)
Put all the ingredients into a food processor and blend (if you don’t have a food processor you can mash the dates up using the back of a fork; if they’re a bit tough you can soak them in some warm water). Bring all the ingredients together using your hands and roll into bitesize balls. Then lastly roll on a plate of shredded coconut. These will last in the fridge for a few weeks, if you can keep them that long!
I made a smoothie for breakfast today!
3 Fresh strawberries
About a handful of fresh
raspberries, blueberries,& blackberries
1/2 tablespoon Chia seeds
1/2 tablespoon Chlorophyll from alfalfa for detoxing
1/8 tablespoon Maca powder
1/8 tablespoon red reishi mushroom pwdr
Yum. That is all I have to say.
In all honesty I did not know what to expect with this vegan pizza. In the past I’ve tried them and experienced cheese that wouldn’t look out of place in a plastic factory, bases that would serve as an excellent frisbee and so many vegetables you’d think it was a rabbits buffet.
Now I’m all for healthy eating but every once in a while you want comfort food and PIZZA. @_goodfellaspizza
have done this 🙌🙌🙌 Pizza lovers who happen to be vegan, your prayers have been answered! the crust is so tasty, the toppings are filling and the cheese is melty. Enjoy!

We are excited to see you soon! It has been challenging to say yes to every request we get for sustainable markets and events. Unfortunately, we have been saying "no" quite a lot lately. Why? Because we want to make sure that our brand and our concept is shared by us, João and Daniela, in first hand, before delegating it to third parties...as we always say: it's our lifestyle we are sharing, it's our products, it's the products we use, it's the products we love. So far we haven't found out how to delegate that insight to other people, so we would rather say no than having our brand being disseminated in a misleading way...However, when we say yes, you can be sure we are 100% in, to exchange knowledge and good vibes! Big hugs, John and Dani <3⠀

Has there been something in your life that at one time was so intense and, as a result of you clearing it and/or choosing something different, it’s no longer heavy?
Is it possible that if the that heavy something didn’t show up the way it did, it wouldn’t have opened up possibilities from which then contributed to generating and creating something greater?
If you are choosing to live from a conscious space of awareness and allowance, then above is an example of living from a point of view of possibilities rather than problems.
If you were to come from a problem point of view, you’d more likely see all of that as a limitation and get stuck in finding fault and/or what’s “wrong” with it.
Which point of view would you like to choose?
Which one reads lighter for you?
And what is something that at one time was heavy that now is light?
Share it, my conscious friends!
What is that for you?! ✨💖✨ #heavy #now #light
