It's official! I have now been in China for an entire week since I left the US. As mentioned in my other two previous posts, I've had connectivity and VPN issues these past few days, but it is getting better.
A bit about where I am currently located. I now live in Changsha city of Hunan province, as opposed to Guizhou, where I lived the last three years. From my own personal point of view and experience so far, Changsha is a well developed and still developing city. The climate here has been super hot, but thankfully it's been cooler the last two days. It seems like Changsha is really big, but I haven't explored much to know. I've been to the downtown area because I work there and it's actually quite nice. Yesterday was my first official work day and it was pretty chill, mainly because most students are still on holiday. The transportation system in Changsha is actually pretty convenient as well. Although there are only two lines, I can easily move around from place to place. Lastly, where I live. I live in a really nice and quiet area. The apartment building where my girlfriend and I live is actually quite fancy. The lobby it's too nice, to be honest. The train station is a three minute walk and we're surrounded by two malls filled with stores, restaurants, supermarkets, Starbucks, McDonald's, and even a Sam's club.
Even though coming back to China was not exactly what i hoped and wanted, it is my situation at the moment. So, i guess must make the best of it.
Like the picture says, welcome to Changsha!
