If you can’t beat them...knock them out!
Kids want to PLAY. They will demand every neuron you have. It is a full contact sport.
I have so many projects going on my brain is exploding. This little one keeps me focused on what really matters.
I’m not going to lie. I am not great at this but I’m getting better!
As one of the readers of this blog put it yesterday" Welcome back to civilization". This out crop on the tip of the heal of Italy is a long way from the centre of Italian civilization, Rome.
We were uneasy with the decision of the coast guard that we did not need to do anything to check in to Italy so first thing this morning we thought we would call back in and ask again.
Being Monday the guy that deals with new arrivals was in. We explained that we were a British yacht came from Greece with UK Passports. He assured us that we had nothing to do to check in until March next year, when the UK leaves the EU. Not sure he knew what will happen then or does anyone for that matter.
So with that good news we walked towards town to buy an Italian SIM card for the phone. Having asked where the shopping area of town is, Carla speaks some Italian, we came to the conclusion that there is not a shopping area at all. There is no town and no mobile phone shop.
We did find a supermarket, larger than the normal ones in Greece so we bought a few things including some red Italian wine. A real treat. We then set off to the chandlery to buy a pilote book and some charts.
On the way we stopped at a coffee shop and had coffee and donuts. Followed by a stop in the fishing shop for some line and a very posh lure. Carla had hers taken the other day when a boat went behind us just east of Corfu.
We arrived at the chandlery but they didn't have Italian charts or an Italian pilot book. Only ones for Greece and Croatia. We bought a few small items and set off back to the RIB.
We had left the "Brig" at the fuel dock in the marina. I had a chat with the attendant and asked if we could come in for some water tomorrow. He said no problem but it would be better if we came around 1930 as he was closing. I was happy with that, so tomorrow evening we will go in and fill up as on Wednesday we are hoping to make our way to Crotone.
After lunch back on Ocean Fox we went back to the coffee shop to upload our next video as we thought their wifi was fast. It took us three and a half hours, four coffees and another pastry. Part II on comments...

So fascinated by Heuchera at the moment. Their colours are simply amazing, and they are such a tough versatile plant. Commonly known as Coral Bells, easy to see why. #tuesday #heuchera #colour #coralbells
Sometimes when I get bold, I cook. Tonight at "De la Crumb", salmon with asparagus and Italian seasoned butter and garlic sauce.
