! This is one of the restaurants we’ve been most excited about to visit, we had read so many good things about it and also @chefclaresmyth
was named best female chef in the world by World’s Best 50.
The reality is… it was even better than expected! Everything was just amazing, the restaurant is super nice, super well located, great ambience, exceptional service and superb food, just the perfect dinner!
Now let’s focus on the tasting menu:
💠 TASTING MENU:
• Tomato and basil gougères
• Jellied eel, toasted seaweed and malt vinegar
• Crispy smoked duck wing with burnt orange and spices
• Foie gras parfait and Madeira
• Isle of Mull scallop tartar: sea vegetable consommé
• “Potato and roe”: dulse beurre blanc, herring and trout roe
• Skate: Morecambe bay shrimps, Swiss chard, brown butter
• ‘Lamb carrot’: braised lamb, sheep’s milk yoghurt
• Duck and nectarine: thyme, honey, Timut pepper
• “Cherry Bakewell”
• Pear and verbena: poire Williams sorbet
• Warm chocolate tart
• “Sauternes and Banyuls”
🙌Our favorites were the Foie Gras parfait and the Lamb Carrot! .
