I have discovered in life that there are ways of getting almost anywhere you want to go, if you really want to go. ~Langston Hughes
I meant to do this days ago. #tb
to last Wednesday when @miapage09
and our friend Ricky (who happens to currently be taking a break from social media, so I can’t tag him) hiked approximately (according to my Strava) 15.7 miles, had 6629 feet of vertical gain, and topped out at 11251. This post, coupled with my archived story, just might give you all the information you need to either feel like you’ve seen it and can skip it, or you need to see it for yourself. This hike was both extremely magical and extremely challenging. The trail is long and hard to follow/find at times, there are some very steep sections that seem to never end, the summit is daunting, and the scramble at the top is not for the faint of head or heart. But.... the wildflowers were plentiful, the views were spectacular, the sky was an beautiful shade of blue, and the actual cirque, as I guess it’s called, is amazing.
I feel extremely blessed to have had such wonderful company on this adventure. We had SO many laughs and only a few tears.... surprisingly, not mine. 😉 We accomplished goals, conquered fears and saw things very few venture to see. One of my favorite hikes/days ever! #lonepeak #draperutah #jacobsladdertrail
